FCBD ValiantFans.com edition LordDunlow's group
Okay, so far I have the following:
Cjv - in for $40 (50 books) - paid
Clive - in for $22.40 (28 books) - paid
Tarheelmarine - $24 (30 books) - paid
Etos45 - in for $80 (100 books) - paid
Tim - in for $20 (25 books) - paid
Ckb - in for $22.40 (28 books) - paid
400yrs - in for $22.40 (28 books) - paid
I'm keeping this at 80¢ a book plus actual shipping.
All paid now!
Update: Received the case of 300 - will be determining how many trashed books there are, and how to distribute. I'm taking more trashed than good, as is another person who volunteered to take trashed books, so hopefully there won't be many to spread throughout the group.
I will be receiving Borderlands and Planet Comics FCBD editions as well to send to you guys as freebies. Midtown wouldn't sell me more than one copy, but I may have a fix for that! I'll keep you guys posted.
Update 5/14/13: First of all - Grizzlies Win!!!!!!!!!!!!! Okay, now that I got that out of my system:
Just spoke to Rob at Borderlands and while he was asking a little on the high side for enough copies of their variant, I worked out a trade for our version (several of you in my group volunteered a copy for this trade - so this one isn't quite the freebie I was hoping it would be). In short, the Borderlands edition for each of you should be on their way!
Planet Comics issues are in hand and in good shape (all NM-/NM) - this is unbelievable as my mail carrier literally rolled the double cardboarded package up and shoved it in my mail box.
Update 5/20/13: Dino hooked us up with the Midtown editions - same as Planet Comics above, rolled up by my annoying lazy mail carrier, but books are in good shape.
I was a little bummed because I must have misunderstood Dino, as we only got the Midtown editions, with no other goodies. But considering I paid $2.99 for mine and they refused to sell me multiple copies (I emailed every division of Midtown and call every shop trying to smooth talk someone), I think this was a pretty awesome hook up
So, I'm just waiting on Borderlands to ship theirs out now, which I guess (judging by the Borderlands thread) a lot of other are waiting, too.
I still haven't determined how many books I actually got or the condition of each book, but I'll hopefully get to that this week. Maybe tonight.
Update 7/1/13: sorry guys for the long wait. Life has been hectic. I finally counted, sorted, and (mostly) packed up the books for everyone. I was really hoping to get everything ready to take to post office tomorrow to get estimates for everyone, but I'll have to finish packing tomorrow night. I'll send estimates to everyone Tuesday, and ship Wednesday, hopefully. You guys also have one copy of each retailer exclusive edition (Borderlands, Planet Comics, and Midtown in addition to VF.com). The Midtown editions aren't the best condition but they are how I received them from VEI.
I also threw in another extra I picked up at my LCS in case you guys needed them (shown on top of everyone's stack of comics below):

Thanks for your patience guys!

I'm not sure which Anonymous I am, but it's ok to list my board name.
I sent payment for 25 books ($20) but if anyone backs out or doesn't want to get as many I'll pick up the slack. I plan on distributing these out to any board members who want them at Heroescon this year for whatever it ends up costing me, so I will take on any extras gladly.

Sorry, all my books are spoken for (almost all paid).
Try Helios or ask Greg if he knows anyone else that will sell you some.

The only freebies my group is getting unfortunately is my service. 19 orders to pack and ship will take a few hours minimum.

And you're offering quite a bit more service as well, as I won't be bagging and boarding individually.drmirage wrote:The only freebies my group is getting unfortunately is my service. 19 orders to pack and ship will take a few hours minimum.![]()

Re: FCBD ValiantFans.com edition LordDunlow's group
It shouldn't take long to bag/board 290 books right?
What takes long is doing the shipping labels making sure it gets to the correct address.
3/19 orders opted out, I've never shipped comics w/o bags and boards before, so it should be interesting.
It could be worse... I set a minimum to 10 books per member, I could have ended up with 29 orders.

In the past week I've gone from initiating 'The Joshua Protocol and barfing in your face to having my nanites hacked by someone that forced me to toss poor Mark Rose under a bus!
