Number 1 doesn't go for over cover on eBay as of last week, but make sure you do your research as the others do.caniac wrote:My LCS had about 5 of each of the 10 issues so I got all #3 and #5s and a few of the 1, 2, and 4s...
We'll see how it goes on the Bay...

Re: Discuss Hard To Find Or Currently Hot Modern Comics
I had a feeling about All New X-Men, as I felt Bendis would really pull this book off, and preordered multiples of the first 4 issues to sell on the Bay. That title is definitely leading the Marvel Now back issue market.

I suspect he was asking for a more specific study of this particular instance rather than a broad encapsulation of the economic system by which such instances occur.Dr. Solar wrote:Because it is good and we live in a free market capitalist system governed by supply and demand.

That is likely true, however this specific instance is merely a manifestation of the general principles that guide this sort of behavior within this system, therefor an understanding of the fundamental principle provides insight into the specific forces at work in this instance.Chiclo wrote:I suspect he was asking for a more specific study of this particular instance rather than a broad encapsulation of the economic system by which such instances occur.Dr. Solar wrote:Because it is good and we live in a free market capitalist system governed by supply and demand.
In other words, Bendis is finally writing comics that don't suck, and it caught everyone by surprise, and they are trying to catch up on the issues they are missing.

Should we be picking up Spawn # 9's from the cheap bins?

They've really slowed down, but if you can pick up high grade copies for a quarter, I would.hulk181man wrote:Should we be picking up Spawn # 9's from the cheap bins?

83 cents OK? Picked up 6 books for $5 at the local market. Also landed Next Men 21, Magnus 12, an Ultraverse variant I was missing, and 2 copies of Starbrand 19 to round it out.StarBrand wrote:They've really slowed down, but if you can pick up high grade copies for a quarter, I would.hulk181man wrote:Should we be picking up Spawn # 9's from the cheap bins?

Thanks E! It was my 2nd score on that book in the last 6 months...before Christmas I bought the 'Faith' storyline 4 pack (19-22) for $5. If your LCS bundles several issues of overstock titles it can be worth checking out....Elveen wrote:hulk181man wrote:83 cents OK? Picked up 6 books for $5 at the local market. I think a lot of folks over-reacted to speculative hype that a character would die in this issue, and the fact they were making a sketch cover.
Nobody died, the speculation was baseless, and the blank cover was done on a whim, essentially, "hey, we've never done one of these, why don't we do one?"
I think that blank sketch cover is not going to be $10 for long, unless they print more soon. Up, up, and away!
