Turns out one of the covers is a wraparound! And it looks sweet!

Oh and there's also Sandria Darque :thumb:

OKay. The first three pages look like Roberto dela Torre and the last two pages are Mico Suayan. Am I right?

No offense to Patrick but this is art that fits Shadowman. More mood, less superhero.

The glowing eyes effect...is it a tie to Harbinger? Psiots light up their eyes when they use their powers right?

Nice art in the preview pages. I wouldn't mind that artist being the replacement for Zircher.

Looks awesome, I sure hope that guy becomes the regular artist on Shadowman. I think his art fits way better with Shadowman.

And actually, I should mentioned the solict text in the beginning there is not what the issue is about. That story exists, and you'll get to see it, but this is a different story. You can probably make a pretty good guess what this one IS about.

As I mentioned elsewhere, the zero issue is probably the best work I think I've done on the book so far.

Awesome. Really looking forward to this issue. The pages look beautiful. And it's not just the artwork, the coloring is spot on incredible. I think this art fits perfectly with this book.

And this story is what I've been looking forward to since this title started. Ever since you hinted at the return of Sandria Darque many months ago ive been excited about her return and Master Darque's origin story. Love it. Can't wait.

Again, I want to add another two cents to the pile and say that this is the kind of feeling that the art should be giving Shadowman, as a more atmospheric horror type story.

On the other hand, I was really looking forward to seeing a couple of the Shadowmen of the past, like the thirties and fourties era Shadowmen that are on the cover, and learning more about the traditions and practices of the Shadowman legacy, and their past exploits.

I'm a bit disappointed to see that this comic will most likely be primarily Master Darque origin story :| That could have surely come at a later time in the grand scheme of things.

I can say that I like these types of stories as well, especially stories that allow a cliffhanger effect from the past and then have our present-day Shadowman pick up the story line that may have never been finished. This allows continuity of story and also character development for previous Shadowman.

There actually are a couple of good reasons why we're doing the zero we're doing when we're doing it. But having said that, I very very much want to do stories about the previous Shadowmen (and indeed, two are already written) so if I have my way that is stuff you will see.

Great looking pages, and seeing the Johnson cover is a wrap is a sweet bonus! Looking forward to this issue :thumb:

Looks very nice! You know me, I'm loving this book and I'm totally on board for issue #0, hopefully it's a great story and they continue the upward trend since issue #5 where things started to heat up. I have faith. :D

Okay, take your insider knowledge for granted on that one.

I've seen on the board here that a load of people are chuffed that it's going to feature elements of Darque's origin, but I personally have just never been that interested in the character. Although I am pleased that he's finally looking like and coming across as the real bad guy that he's always *supposed* to have been, in his current design.

But I am chuffed that there may be past-era Shadowmen stories to look forward to sometime, I do like the look of those characters a lot, and think it could be a very entertaining concept indeed :)

Anyway, cheers for taking the time :thumb:

And all I can say is THIS READS LIKE SHADOWMAN! Mico Suayan, why can;t you be the regular artist? I mean, look at this:

I read the lettered preview yesterday, and judging from that, #0 is going to kick *SQUEE*. :headbang:

Like I've been telling you guys, just give them time they'll hit their stride and get to everything you want to see. I have faith that they know what they're doing with this one (it's just a slow build up)
