Joshua Dysart's Violent Messiahs

Has anyone read this series?

Joshua Dysart has been kicking *SQUEE* on Harbinger but my first exposure to his work was in the Violent Messiah series from Image Comics. It has the the distinction of being the only comic I have ever written to and my letter was even printed in the letters page.

I have all the floppies and the Genesis trade but I never bought the trades for the regular series so I just bought them from ebay now.

I really liked this series, even though it may be a bit dated now, and I can't wait to read it again.

I would be interested to know how Dysart feels about this series now. It was he first writing gig I believe.

I remember that series. It was pretty good.

I read the Book of Job TPB. Is that the first volume?

The guy in the suit looks a like cross between Hunter Rose and Grendel Prime.

There are more than superficial similarities, particularly to Prime.

Interesting. I may have to check this out. Grendel is one of my all-time favorite series.

The Book of Job is the first volume. The second volume is Lamenting Pain.

I have never read Grendel so I can't comment on the similarities.
