Quick question for greg?

Well maybe someone else can answer this, but I have been unable to find the anwser. I am wondering what issues make up the VH1 regular issues collection. I found the checklist of all of the books, and I have an inventory up on that page, but I was wondering what issues are considered the regular issues...mainly I was wondering about magnus 0 and harbinger 0...since these are mailways do they count as premiums or regular issues...something like that...really I just wanted a checklist that had only the 703 regular issues on it...thanks for any help...

I think its that way because there is the Magnus 0 without card that was avaliable in stores

Good point...I forgot about that...but that book was sent to dealers as a thank you kinda thing right? still not exactly a regular book...What I am saying is that I do not think that you could just walk up and buy a magnus 0 off the shelf....right? but then again you could walk up and buy the non chormuim Shadowman 0 from a newstand and that book is listed as a premium...not saying anything needs to be fixed just wondering...

It seems to me that the easier-to-find issue is not the premium. Magnus #0 isn't a premium because it is the only way to get that original story. Harbinger #0 blue, however, can be found much more easily than pink, so pink is the premium.

Basically, I think of a "regular" issue as "the cheapest way to get the original story"...then again, if that were true, Harbinger #3 wouldn't be a regular issue since it can be found more easily and cheaply in TPB form.

See I think of "regular" issue as something that I could walk into a store and purchase off of the shelf like any other book...not that the dealer got a few copies sent to him, like golds and magnus 0 w/o card...of course that would fit for harbinger 0 blue since you could walk in an buy it with your harbinger TPB. You could not walk in and get a harbinger 0 pink....of course using my off the rack definition that would include all of the newstand price variants as "regular" issues, which I dont think that they are...these price variants would also be a part of your cheapest way definition of "regular" issues since the newstand issues are "cheaper" than the direct issues. I dont know what to think...

Before I had such a detailed listing of the books,
I used to use the little "asterisks" on the individual collector lists.
Those "little asterisks" aren't perfectly related to the
definitions of "regular" and "not regular" that are shown above.

You'll also notice that a few books are missing...
The $2.50 price variants, a couple more second prints,
and even Magnus 0 (without card)...

None of those books had separate entries in the regular database
when the collector inventory database started...
So, they haven't been added yet.

We'll get there... eventually!

Was it one for every 50 Magnus 1s ordered?

Also, estimated print run of the uncut Magnus 1-8 card sheets?

An ad in Magnus issues 1-4 states that the magnus uncut sheet had a print run of 500

here's what I think it is doing...

Big list. Looks like Regular Issues plus Sendaways plus Trade Paperback Companions would give you almost all reading, with only Harbinger 0 as a double. You'd just miss the Deathmate previews and Secrets of the Valiant Universe 1.

I believe it was one copy per ten ordered. Roughly 8,900 copies of #0 for 89,000 copies of #1.
