Is there any link to the NewU storyline in 'New' Avengers? I thought it was just in the main Avengers book?

So far, just Avengers, but the story in New Avengers (universes colliding) lends itself to possibly being involved with all of this.

I just grabbed the bulk of Sixth Gun's run from ONI between two LCS, for cover. The print runs on this thing make PP, look like a common book....actually all of Oni's print runs are extremely low, not sure how this company is still in business...

What he said... plus several other Hickman fans I've talked with have said that it would fit Hickmans style for it to all end up being connected as that is how hickman tends to work. Big sprawling ideas that take time to come to fruition but had lots of hints dropped before they were recognized as such by most.

Sounds cool, I love it when an author puts that much effort into a big story. I still can't decide about buying any Avengers to get into the New U storyline...

I stopped buying Marvel and DC in the 90's but I still listen to podcasts and like to hear what the big 2 are doing with the characters. Recently, due to Comixology free giveaways I've been able to read some of the books I've heard so much about...and I haven't been too impressed so far!

I've read:
Daredevil vol 3 #1-4 (art was interesting, story so so)
Daredevil vol 2 #1 was ok but not great
Superior spider-man #1 didn't mind the Doc Ock stuff (despite all the negative hype) but the new sinister 6 characters were woeful!
Savage Wolverine #1 unreadable, couldn't finish it!
Batman and Robin 1-4 really like Frank Quitley's art, story was ok

Still got plenty to read of the recent stuff to read (FF, various Punisher, Spider-Island, Cap America, Iron Man, all number 1's), can anyone advise what is Marvel and DC at their best these days? :?

Nowhere Men still not winning me over. I'm gonna give it a few more issues though.

Really enjoying Revival, though. Getting ready to read #8 right now!

Also got Avengers and New Avengers - both are great.

I bought a comic reprinting some of the Rip Kirby comic strips, by the legendary Alex Raymond. If I really dig it I'll pursue buying more. Click the link below the pic of the comic I bought for some info on Kirby.

Not sure I'll ever be able to justify the 250.00 it would cost to acquire these five volumes of Rip Kirby.

I distinctly remember seeing this book on a newsstand and thinking, "I bet MOST copies have that holoprism cover, so the plain white background will probably be hard to find someday."

I also distinctly remember NOT buying a copy that day.

Now, I finally have a nice copy.

This one is not rare, so I'm not sure how far it can 'take off', but the unbelievable volume of the holo-prism version makes this one seem like a white whale. :D

Some newsstands are definitely going to move up. ASM #300 with UPC comes to mind.

I also picked up a copy of this at a local show today in the dollar bins. I know it's probably not worth much, but I seldom see the newsstand edition. I wonder what the print run is. So far I only see only two other copies on Ebay. :D

Just added a batch of original owner, golden age books to my collection...all low grade, none much better than Good. Some tattered and some missing pages and/or covers, many w/detached covers, but the price was fair so...

Superman 7 (coverless, missing pages)
Superman 10
Superman 12
Superman 36 (coverless)
Superman 47 (missing pages)
Superman 48
Superman 49 (coverless, missing pages)
Superman 53
Superman 71
Batman 21
Batman 28
Batman 61 (coverless)
Detective 78 (coverless)
Detective 122
Detective 133
Detective 165 (coverless)
World's Finest 15 (missing pages)
