Actually I was referring to Harada saying on the phone to his PRS mole (Harby #6) that, "No one wants another Harbinger War."Shadowman99 wrote:Hey,Baramos wrote:Yeah, in the new Bloodshot, there is a line of one of the PRS guys going, "We need to get those psiots under control. The last thing we need is another Harbinger war". Note: This is not the exact line, I'm paraphrasing.Shadowman99 wrote:Thanks, I'll go give it a look.BugsySig wrote:I posted a thread with a Harbinger Wars interview with Dysart. He says a lot of the Harbinger issues will involve flashbacks on Harada's rise to corporate power, the beginnings of PRS and the first Harbinger War.
The first Harbinger war eh?![]()
Actually, when I first read Bugsy's post, I thought that Dysart had dropped a hint, hinting at another future Harbinger Wars comic event to come in the (real time, comic-reader's) future.
Having just read through the whole retro Shadowman series, I now realise that a previous Harbinger War already happened in the comics back in the 90's, and that's what Dysart/Bugsy was *actually* reffering to.
You know, one of the biggest criticisms of the comic media generally is that it's generally quite inaccessible to new readers, due to constant references and necessary background knowledge regarding the histories of the featured characters and reprocussions of past events etc...
So I'm glad that Valiant has more or less started from scratch with this 'new' universe. At least at this current point in time it's relatively easy for new readers to hop onto the brand.
All I can say is that I hope the universe continues for a really long time, but the characters in the books don't end up referring to stuff ten years down the line that's happening now, because then the brand will have become as inaccessible as Marvel and DC are to the average comic n00b like me right now.

Though I am also aware of the VH1 Harbinger War that was often lauded to and shown in various issues.

Also, interesting document behind that piece of paper.

I'm curious as to what is directly underneath that sheet - I see the Harbinger logo in reverse with some additional text below it...

I recognize that keyboard too [he says, staring down at his very own]... the lads at Valiant have good taste in computers
