Personal Current Rankings
If you got all of the titles new books on the same day, which order would you read them in? Or, which book is your favorite, down to your least favorite?
1. Tossup between X-O and Harbinger (too hard to judge which I like better!)
2. Archer & Armstrong
3. Bloodshot
4. Shadowman
I wonder if this is a polarizing issue, or if people see things the same as me?

Heartbroken to see A&A at the bottom of some of those lists! It's really only SLIGHTLY behind X-O and Harby for me. Only weak issue I thought was 5.

Hah! Wow! I though A&A #4 was the best single VEI issue of 2012! And 6 & 7 have been great too! So cool to see the other side of the coin on this

Re: Personal Current Rankings
1- Shadowman
2- Bloodshot
3a- XO
3b- A&A
4- Harbinger
Of course I'm weird cuz I read my favorite last so it sticks in my head
So flip that list and that's it!
1- Harby
2a- A&A
2b- XO
3- Bloodshot
4- Shadowman
Harby is my clear favorite. A&A and XO are neck and neck now. Planet Death has me really psyched, so I might even rank that higher at the moment. Luckily they come out a week apart so I don't have to make that decision
I've also really enjoyed Bloodshot lately, but Shadowman has fallen a little flat. I still like it, but it doesn't wow me yet (#3 was close, though). Of course I felt the same way after the first XO arc and look where I have that now.

Re: Personal Current Rankings
I only read three consistently so I can't say much for the others but...
1. Harbinger
2. Archer and Armstrong
3. Shadowman
X-O and Bloodshot have been okay but not four bucks a month okay in my opinion. I like what I've read of X-O better than Bloodshot. I would still take either one over a lot of other publisher's titles.

It's polarizing to me to pick a favorite; if I got them all on the same day, I'd randomly choose the order.Bone-A-Fach-ee wrote:If you got all of the titles new books on the same day, which order would you read them in? Or, which book is your favorite, down to your least favorite?

I wonder if this is a polarizing issue, or if people see things the same as me?

The best true answer I can give is the individual book I dig the most varies month to month, and I dig them all.

That's my list as well right there. It's sad seeing Shadowman on or toward the bottom of all these lists. I only lasted 2 issues on it.

Re: Personal Current Rankings
Tough.
1. Harbinger
2. Archer & Armstrong
3. Shadowman
4. X-O Manowar
5. Bloodshot
That was tough. After recent releases, I may switch a few things around. For example, after issues, I move some books like Harbinger and A & A up. After arcs, I move up Shadowman, X-O and Bloodshot.
I find it changing often.

Sad to me too. Was one of my favorites in VH1. Not sure I really "get it" this time around.400yrs wrote:Bone-A-Fach-ee wrote:If you got all of the titles new books on the same day, which order would you read them in? Or, which book is your favorite, down to your least favorite?

Re: Personal Current Rankings
X-O
Archer & Armstrong (by a nose)
Harbinger (a very close third)
Bloodshot
Shadowman (a distant fifth)
Shadowman -- someone used the word mediocre and that's about right for me; if it wasn't Valiant I probably wouldn't continue reading it if it didn't get better in the next 3 or 4 issues. For all of the backstory that has obviously been thought through, the characters have no character. Even Darque, if such a thing is possible.
What's strange is that while I think Harby is a stronger book, I'm somehow more excited about a&A.

Re: Personal Current Rankings
Is there an official reading order???
Id like it if Valiant put some effort into this. Maybe somewhere in the website? Inside the cover of the comic book? Maybe a Comixology app?

Re: Personal Current Rankings
Here's where I place them in rankings. And, they are at the bottom of my pile for the same reason Bugsy does (although recently some favorites from other publishers have been floating to the top of the pile)
1) Harbinger
2) X-O Manowar (really close second)
3) Archer & Armstrong
4) Shadowman (really close fourth)
5) Bloodshot
Last month, I would have put A&A in 4th. But, things like Kay the Geomancer and the One Percent have me liking A&A more right now. Plus, again, one of my favorite moments last year in comics was how the previous Geomancer died in A&A #4.

High End: Archer & Armstrong is just so funny and full of such cutting satire...I love it.
Low End: Bloodshot has not been as good past couple of issues (seems like the plot sort of slowed down compared to its original breakneck pace), Harbinger has been better than it was at the beginning, so if unless Bloodshot #8 is pretty great you could consider Bloodshot and Harbinger's position flipped.

Favorite to least favorite:
1. X-O Manowar
2. Archer & Armstrong
3. Harbinger
4. Bloodshot
5. Shadowman
I want to like Shadowman more since he was my favorite VH1 character but I thought the first arc was kinda meh. Plus it ranks low since it has the fewest issues for me to judge it. I'll stick with Shadowman of course, and I'm sure it will replace Bloodshot on my list soon enough.

1. Harby / X-O (Toss up between these. Both are Excellent!)
3. Bloodshot (Just awesome and can't wait for Harbinger Wars!)
4. A&A (Better than the original for me, but I'm weird.)
5. Shadowman (still growing on me and I expect it to get better, but not there yet.)

For me, favorite to least favorite:
1. Harbinger
2. Bloodshot
3. Shadowman
4. X-O
5. A & A
I, like BugsySig, read them in the opposite order.
I could see 3, 4, and 5 moving around depending on the account. X-O may very well tame the #2 depending on how awesome Planet Death is. A & A will definitely rise if there are more issues like #4, #6, and #7, rather than 2, 3, and especially #5.

X-O
Shadowman
for some reason I'm not that enamored with X-O...and shadowman is by far the weak link...
IMO Harbinger is head and shoulders above all of them, although the last couple of issues of A&A have really been better than good...
