Maybe the 500 BIN is not as much fun as winning one for $522.

1st post updated:

- 1 more CGC 9.8 added to the census
- ZWH relisting his CGC 9.8 SS and CGC 9.8 copies

Will someone please buy his books so I don't have to keep tracking them?

Honestly, I tried to work with ZWH 9 months ago for a cash transaction on a blue universal label Harby 1 since he's local. I offered him a higher net in cash after eBay and Paypal fees, but he didn't accept. :hm:

Another day, another post in the Harbinger 1 sales thread.

Still one of the best Valiant books.

I believe this is the same seller that has been listing this book off-and-on for a few years now at that price, even when the book dropped into the low to mid-$300s.

I emailed him one time and he told me this was a "real" 9.8 versus all those other copies that were in a 9.8 case.

Perhaps the seller once bought this book at $1500....

Real 9.8 vs any 9.8 is still a 9.8

Its doubtful that it will sell in $1500

ZWH's regular 9.8 sold for $550. He still has a SS up for sale.

Wow. This only proves that his patience paid off.

$550 is higher than the norm.

That being said. Less work for Iggy, that book isn't getting resisted.

ZWH's regular 9.8 sold for $550.
Yeah, it's listed as $OLD.

But it's already relisted, and the slab has the same serial number.

Curious...

That sale fell apart. Disregard it from this thread.

Thanks for the info. I am keeping the sale in the thread but adding in bold that the deal fell through. We had one other case like this before and I kept the sale in the 1st post and made a note about the deal falling apart.

I was hoping to have 1 less ZWH book to track. :P

I wonder what CGC GPA Analysis does with something like this (if they do anything at all).

Iggy, I'm asking since I have no idea, but don't they exclude these "sales" normally?

NP Iggy! ZWH told me some vindictive buyer BIN bombed over 23k worth of his auctions...we appreciate your efforts, but I wouldn't hold it against you if you didn't want to maintain this thread on a continual-sale basis anymore. I think maybe if the book hits a few sales in/out of a new range, an update to that affect would be good enough. It's safe to say the price on VH1s iconic book has been stagnant to say the least, neither up/down.

I stand by my assertion that this book won't be over 1k anytime soon (within a few years). I just think collectors would focus on the VE1 books (which at this point seems like a never-ending quest), instead. For $500 I could probably get all the Harbinger VE1 books released to date...
