Sweeeeeeeeet...
Love it when the new solicitations are released. I copy and paste them into an email to my gaming group, which then get's sent out at the start of the particular month being previewed. Happy to report that a couple of the guys are now regular readers, and the others tend to catch up during Comixology sales!

Well the "New Title" is Harbinger Wars. Probably not what a lot of us were hoping for, but another VALIANT title for 4 monthscavemold wrote:Little suprised we didn't see new title but yes this awesomefav is shadowmna cover or XO cover

Still waiting for that first RAI indication...maybe they will keep this one a secret with a last page reveal, spark discussion and interest, then promote the hell out of the "premier" issue.
At this point we only have May left for that Spring 2013 Rai tease. They kept their word with EW premiering in December, so

Maybe he'll get an appearance in Harby #0 or Harbinger Wars? Well Gilad made at least 2 prior appearances before A&A #5, so even if the Monk ends up being Rai, I am expecting a full-fledged appearance this SpringPhoenix8008 wrote:Maybe he'll get an appearance in Harby #0 or Harbinger Wars? Re: Valiant Solicitations For April 2013
Since I am now all-Valiant for my pull list (I'll add Harby Wars sometime in the next few weeks), I'll focus my opinion on the trades. Or trade, since April's only going to have Shadowman v1 (with its official name of "Birth Rites") at the $15 price point. I thought that the $10 per first volume idea was a good idea and would expand to Shadowman. Oh, well.
Meanwhile, it gives me an idea as to when the next volumes for Harbinger, Bloodshot, and Archer & Armstrong plus the next Valiant Masters collection after Ninjak.

Re: Valiant Solicitations For April 2013
Yeah I too was surprised by the Shadowman trade at the $15 price. I thought they meant all starting volumes in the trades line would be the $10 price. Maybe just the initial 4 launching titles trades? Oh well.

Well, originally it was just XO that was reduced, then they expanded to the other three. Maybe hey will change their minds on this one, too.DK2 wrote:Yeah I too was surprised by the Shadowman trade at the $15 price. I went to amazon.ca and Chapters.ca and noticed the Shadowman tpb is listed at $10.99 CAN as the cover price. So maybe it is suppose to be a cheap trade and the Prsviews is a misprint? Just saying.

Unless something drastic has happened with the exchange rate, then that would make sense.DK2 wrote:I went to amazon.ca and Chapters.ca and noticed the Shadowman tpb is listed at $10.99 CAN as the cover price. So maybe it is suppose to be a cheap trade and the Prsviews is a misprint? Just saying.
It's possible VEI sent that info to Previews just to announce the lowered price later. Kinda sneaky, but makes for another PR opportunity.

Hmm... So... what you're suggesting is that if we force feed hay to the upper management team at Valiant HQ, they'll consider lowering the price on the Shadowman TPB?BugsySig wrote:Well, originally it was just XO that was reduced, then they expanded to the other three. Sounds like a plan, I'm in.

Problem is, that's Amazon. Stores like that would mark down books, including pre-orders. Amazon US has it going for $10; in comparison X-O vol 2, normally $14.99, is listed for $10.08. Over at Midtown Comics, Shadowman's listed for $10.49, and you can pre-order A&A v1 for $7.BugsySig wrote:Unless something drastic has happened with the exchange rate, then that would make sense.DK2 wrote:I went to amazon.ca and Chapters.ca and noticed the Shadowman tpb is listed at $10.99 CAN as the cover price. But, hey, the positive response for X-O v1 being $10 led to the other Summer of Valiant v1's becoming $10. Maybe this will lead to Shadowman v1 being $10 across the board before it comes out.

Re: Valiant Solicitations For April 2013
*goes to amazon.ca* It is. My bad. BTW, that's the same price as the v1s for Harbinger, Bloodshot, and A&A but not X-O - CAN$9.99 for By The Sword and CAN$17 for Enter Ninjak. Don't know why X-O is a dollar cheaper than the other v1s.BugsySig wrote:I thout of that, too, but he said the "cover price" was listed as such.tetrisdork wrote:Problem is, that's Amazon. And, for comparison's sake, all five v1s are cover-listed at 7.50 pounds over at Amazon UK, with Enter Ninjak going for 10.99

*Looks at Chapters/Indigo* X-O BTS is listed $10.50 CAN. On Amazon.ca, it was 10 listed. *Checks BN.com* And apparently Shadowman is listed at $10 as if it is its cover price.BugsySig wrote:Maybe since that one has already been released for a month it's reducedtetrisdork wrote:*goes to amazon.ca* It is. Let us just remain confused.Although I do wish Valiant would slap the Canadian prices on their trades in the US as I don't know if the Canadian releases rock a Canadian price tag on their covers. I've gotten so used to seeing the US/CAN prices on my Marvel books and manga.
