I wish fans would NOT buy this trash so Marvel doesn't pull this garbage in the future
But they keep doing it because it works, unfortunately. I don't understand why, but it does.
It's just like OMD. Fans should have boycotted buying any Spider-Man books until they retconned it.
I think the story was OK. Slott is a good writer so I think that the story to come will be decent. But I have no idea why people buy up these event books the way that they do.

I guess if they didn't, then all that we would collect would be first appearances of characters.

I have been told by a very reliable source who works for Marvel that Superior Spider-Man is slated to run for 16 issues, then it's back to Amazing...
Good info. :)

#1 - $50
#2 - $20
#3 & #4 - $moving toward $10
#5 - $10 - $15

Likely reason? People who read the first trade (which is alot of people) are going back to collect the singles. I expect this to happen for quite a while.
Any thoughts what a set of every issue and every printing (not variant, printing) would sell for...I've got one and can't decide when to sell it...
It's only worth as much as it sells for. When to sell it ? Now is cool. First trade out, people want the original books after reading the trade. I think it's the hottest book at the moment, I have been going through eBay uk. And finding first print issues 3/4/5 at cover Inc postage, to have spare copies to sell and help pay for the hardcover version or ultimate version IF they ever release one.

Title of thread is currently hot. May not be that forever. How many books 'used' to be hot? And now at cover or less.

16 issues huh? Just in time for the new Spider-Man movie right? Same old Marvel
Unbelievable. I didn't think my opinion or expectations of what Marvel does these days could get any lower, but if this is true then they've actually succeeded in sinking even lower in my esteem! Jeez. What a shame, I truly love their characters...

I grabbed Saga 4-6 first prints for cover today (NM-), and I left behind another 4 and 5. Is it worth grabbing the other two? I didn't want to be greedy..... :P Any of the second prints worth grabbing for cover?

Here we go again:

I probably wouldn't buy anything from a listing this bad either. The guy didn't even know what book he had for sure.

No, not really. You may want to research #1 (I haven't). Other than that, no. Even Chew 2nd prints don't sell well (aside from #1).

Think your right there. It does make me wonder if the value of issue #1 is a little over inflated.

Does seem high, but print run of first print s 40,000 and issue 7 sold 47,000 AND iis going to reprint.
So without to much focus on reselling, 7000 people do not have the first print of issue 1.
Word is still spreading.
I expect steady sales of 55000 soon. Not many comics can claim that.

Peter Panzerfaust seems to be selling quick as they're posted. Issue one sells over $80.

Star Wars #1 by Brian Wood. Already going for $15 on ebay and it just came out on Wednesday. Tried my local comic shops today to no avail. All 4 comic shops in my area sold out within a few hours of release. Luckily, a friend of mine was able to pickup the last two copies at his lcs in Charlotte, NC today. I am in his debt.

I know it's kind of old news now, but this Saga complete set is at $125.00 with 2 days left.

I wonder how high this will get?

I only ship to the 48 as well. The reason is that I've had a total of 3 problems with shipping stuff. 2/3 of those were to Hawaii and I may have shipped maybe 3 things in total to HI ever. So, I don't ship there anymore.

Same here. I used to ship outside the continental USA, but immediately started having problems so I stopped. Not worth the hassle

I just sold a set of #1 - 8 1st printings for $200 shipped BIN.

What sucks is I had about a dozen runs going when it first came out that i was selling for $35-40 a pop for the first four issues. I never envisioned it getting like this...

Really?

I've always shipped all 50 states including Guam and Puerto Rico. Never had any problems with USPS Priority Mail.

Shipping to Hawaii and Alaska and the US Terrirories are the sames fees with USPS Priority Mail.

Maybe I never had a problem because I always us Priority with Delivery Confirmation.

Stuff takes more than the 2-3 Days though.
