Yes, I am very intrigued by the "inside man" at PRS. Perhaps it is someone who is a little distracted at the moment with an alabaster-skinned killing machine beating down his door

PRS Agent: "But, Mr. Harada, I have an ulna sticking out of my ne..."
Harada: "No excuses, get back to work, slacker."
But in all seriousness, it also poses the question of whether PRS has spies inside Harada's organization? Livewire has been mentioned by a few as a possibility, but I am sure there could be any number of possibilities.

Damn.... You know a story is good when you don't realize until the final credits that three different artists worked on it. I was so absorbed in the story, I didn't even notice the style changes!

Yeah, nothing worse than having to explain to a kid what a DP is...tchalla8 wrote:OK, while I thought from a craft standpoint this book was excellent, I gotta ask.....what happened to Valiant making these books teen friendly? From the very beginning they indicated their product would be suitable for ages 14 and up. Joshua Dysart even said as much in early interviews. But after reading this issue....there's no way this could be considered appropriate for a teen. At least not mine anyway. Too much suggestive sexuality and inappropriate material. My son is going to be extremely disappointed because he's been on the Valiant wagon big time, and Harbinger is his favorite, but they've been pushing the envelope for a while now, and this issue sort of crossed a line I'm not comfortable with. I'm not trying to get rid of Flamingo's backstory. I just think there has to be a more subtle way of portraying it without going into territory like threesomes and amateur sex videos.
I would like to ask Dinesh or Josh if they would feel comfortable handing this to a 14 year old.
Feel free to disagree, but I'd love to hear some thoughts from everyone on this....

Re: HARBINGER #7 Discussion
Wow...I did not notice at all. After seeing this post I went back and it's obvious the art changes with the club scene. The first few pages seem to be Evans. Not sure where Garbett comes in (maybe the flash-backs?). They did a great job with that not distracting from the story at all, and its no where near the mess issue 5 was with all those artists. The Beyonder wrote:Damn.... Can't wait to get my grubby paws on these issues. Gonna call my store tonight and see if there is any chance of them shipping them out this week instead of the end of the month, since there are no more Valiant books to be had this month. That would be a merry Christmas present next week for me indeed!

Re: HARBINGER #7 Discussion
This title is easily my favorite of the new run. Each issue has been stronger than the last. I have to say that I was pleased with the art much more than the last issue. Last month's just wasn't my style I guess, but this one is right back on track. Story-wise, I think the pacing has been pretty spot on as well though I seem to get to the last page and turn it a few times hoping for more. I hope things continue like this.
Quick question though: How was the Flamingo face variant cover distributed this month? My shop didn't get one for me, but I didn't see that it was a 1:20 style variant either.

Re: HARBINGER #7 Discussion
I ended up getting it twice, I didn't know what the deal was so I went to the "big shop" on the way to my LCS to see if they had it as 1:20 or whatever. They had it on the shelf in a typical ratio for their pullbox about 1:5. I picked it up then went to my LCS and my guy had both covers for me so I bought them. I felt bad because I had to walk away from the A&A 5 variant he had for me last week as it was thrashed. It looked like a crab had just read it.teedot42 wrote:This title is easily my favorite of the new run. Each issue has been stronger than the last. How could those idiots at CBR give this issue only 3 stars?!

We can't tell you without making this thread even more inappropriate than the Harbinger comic book.
