Anyone donated comics?
I have 3-4 long boxes of doubles that I've accumulated throughout the years. Most of them are quarter bin fodder so I was thinking of donating them to a library or hospital or something like that. Has anyone donated comics?

Re: Anyone donated comics?
I donated some of mine to the LCS. Instead of selling them. I knew they were valueless. Now, he holds the good stuff for me.
A hospital may or may not want them. Call ahead and ask.

I donated a handful of TPBs to the local library a few years ago. I don't know what they did with them, though.

Re: Anyone donated comics?
At the first LCS I worked at, we donated a long box of overstock comics to the children's wing of a local hospital. A few days later, someone brought that same long box of comics in to try to sell it to us. From then on, we would just hand them out (with candy) on Halloween.
I would agree with you, but then we'd both be wrong.

That Halloween one is a good idea. I think that's how I'll be getting rid of them.

School maybe interested. I have given to the high school to promote reading. The less able students do not see comics as reading. Now the school library buys in tpb.
Great idea for Halloween.

I sell my extras and crap i dont want anymore at our yearly yard sale. Every year they are the first or second thing to go. Usually someone will come buy and snatch up all of them for a deal. $.25 for floppies and $2 for trades, never fails

Re: Anyone donated comics?
I recently gave away hundreds of 90's Image comics to my friend's nephew. He is about the age when I was first given some Iron Man comics to read. I thought I might be able to bring him into the comic book world. I kept the bags and boards and several of the comics, placed all the comics into a box, and sent them on their way. The room was more important than the comics themselves.
