Tough call; tough call. I'm sure everyone thinks I have a biased opinion about it, but I truly think that the Bloodshot covers have been far and above THE best covers released (so far).400yrs wrote:Bloodshot has some amazing covers. This may be my favorite after the Lozzi #1.
When I saw this cover, although it didn't jump to the top spot, it's a "fave", for sure.
But the regular and variant covers for issue #2? Pure awesomeness

Bloodshot definitely has the best covers so far. I like the Clayton Henry A&As, but the other ones hurt my eyes. The Harbingers are fine, but kind of forgettable. X-O, I don't really like the painted covers much.BloodShot wrote:

Yep, I'd pretty much have to agree with every bit of that. It's actually a little disappointing to me that the Harby covers don't offer a little more "pop". The Braithwaite #1's cool enough, I s'pose, but if they did more covers like the Suayan #1 Pullbox400yrs wrote:Bloodshot definitely has the best covers so far. Re: Baltimore Comic Con
Funny. I disagree. The Harbinger 1 cover by Braithwaite may be the best of all. I also REALLY liked the #3 1:20 cover, too. The upcoming covers - 4, 5, 6, and 7 are all amazing.
The Bloodshot 1 covers were great - except for the pullbox. Still doesn't do much for me. The #2 Braise cover, I thought was underwhelming. The #3 variant hits it out of the park, and the regular cover is meh...
And I LOVED the X-O painted covers. All the regular covers are great. The pullbox on 1 isn't my fave, but the Aja cover (and every Aja cover) are all fantastic. The second print is a beauty. But the Lozzi cover on #2 is fair at best - except for the somewhat homage to the original X-O. The #3 variant is probably the worst new cover. The Kramer variant isn't much better. Then the #5 ones go and get awesome again.
A & A? Loved the second print, and the Aja is great. Adams is outstanding to have, but I am underwhelmed by his cover.
#2 are both forgettable, I think. Too corny/cartoony. The Aja art for 3 is nice, though. I must be one of the few who likes the wanted poster for #4, as well.

I am a big fan of the painted covers. The wanted poster is my pick for that month's cover.kevinbastos wrote:

Re: Baltimore Comic Con
I used to feel that way. Until I saw the Suayan Harbinger covers. The coming covers 5-7 are the best VEI covers so far.400yrs wrote:Bloodshot definitely has the best covers so far. Re: Baltimore Comic Con
It was great to see Svair, Carter, VEI, Hulk181, Seth, Rufus and the rest of the guys in Baltimore Con. I had a blast finding multiples of everything 2nd, 3rd and 4th prints of XO. Dino and the Valiant crew was simply Amazing. I also want to thank Neal Adams for hooking me up with an autograph of AA 1:50 variant!!!!!

Carter is a king among men. Received the box full of comics and t-shirts this morning and COULD NOT BE HAPPIER!
Thanks for spreading the Valiant joy. Really man, I know it was a pain and you really stepped up. Great job.
