Everything else comic-related that's not VALIANT-related.

Mile High Comics Customer Support: WTF?

Post by jcdenton »

Has anyone ever contacted the customer support for these guys? I put in an order online, then over the next few days sent them three emails from two different email addresses asking to modify/cancel the order.

They finally shipped the order unchanged a week later and still have not responded to any of the emails.

Is this typical for their customer support? It says on the website that they usually respond within 24 hours. WTF?

I have found out recently that they do not respond to emails very well also. The only way I could get anywhere was to call them on the phone. The problem I had with them was taken care of instantly when I talked with them one on one.

I asked the guy on the phone why they had not responded to the two emails I had sent and he only said that he was not quite sure. I'll just call them if I have any questions or problems in the future.

Call 1-800-676-6423 and ask for Aaron! He will square it away!

I have no problems with MHC with either the NICE dept or the back issues, with one exception which was my fault anyway. I put an order in then saw some more stuff I wanted and although I emailed them the same day the orders came separately.

On the other hand I wasn't sent a copy of Astonishing X-Men one month and without question they put the missing issue in the next available delivery, making the necessary adjustments on the billing.

Good company.

Aaron has also proved to be reliable and true to his word at MHC.
I had a problem with some Ghost Rider reprints, when I explained it he acknowledged their fault and comped me seven books without my asking.
I have not had any bad experiences with MHC or Lonestar, any problems were resolved quickly and above and beyond my expectation.
Ebay and LCS's we don't want to go there, although the LCS in my hometown Crash Comics is a lot better than most.

I've placed several orders with MHC (including one since that last one) and haven't had any other problems. It was just that one time that I emailed them 3 times and never received a response, which I found extremely odd.

Didn't Chuck say in one of his email letters a week or two ago that they were going to stop giving free shipping on TPB's real soon?

Although I still get free shipping for an international order to the UK, there is now a $3 tpb surcharge. Still cheaper than my local shop by about £10/$18.
