When I see "Valiant Masters", I think of Robotech Masters.

This is excellent news. If they indeed plan on reprinting everything from the original universe-which this almost hints at-then I will be very happy, because I truly hated having to part with my set.

I seriously doubt it'll be everything. They're probably aiming more for what they perceive as "worth reading". I'm sure you can agree that there is material in the original universe that is best left behind.

True, but whatever they collect, be it the first 20 or 30 issues of most series, plus the new material, will make it much easier for me to get. Less tracking things down. I can see things like Secret Weapons and Geomancer being left totally in the past, along with Psi-Lords and obviously the GK3 stuff. I would imagine we'd get the major series, and particularly that which has a modern counterpart. My guess would be XO, up through before Birthquake, maybe a 2 volume set of A&A-or just finish up the other issues from the previous hc-Harbinger up through the battle with Harada and Bloodshot up until BQ. Personally, I found BS, EW and SM to be the 3 books that never really lost it. Oh, and it wouldn't shock me to see Rai get collected, or at least the Unity/pre-Unity stuff.

Fred indicated that there might be problems with re-printing of issues that contain the GK3, Unity being one, guest appearances would be another ... they are currently looking at their options in that regard.

Doesn't surprise me, but honestly, the GK3 were never a big deal to me. Turok blew chunks, Magnus ended up as a doof and Solar quickly got overpowered and dull. Aside from Solar-or Phil, rather-as the "creator" of the VU, Solar really served very little purpose beyond being an all powerful bore. JMO.

All three of the VEI hardcovers featured appearances by Solar, and the A&A trade had appearances from all three in the Unity issues. Fred said they were working on Unity trades right now, I believe, at the SDCC panel.

Yeah, I'm hoping he just means the regular issues. I know I heard they couldn't be on the covers or in any promotional stuff.

They still have a chance of reprinting the GK characters small appearances? Thats either good or bad news. I wonder with if (I just discovered Dreamworks purchased Classic Media) the GK characters will return to Valiant to licence them back?
I also wonder what is the exact future of the "Valiant Masters" reprint line be it hardcovers or softcovers? There were never any follow up volumes of the previous three HC's? Like the old stuff will only be as hardcovers? What about the new comics? Will they get a collected series line? I hope one day Valiant makes trades instead. Hardcovers are getting expensive. I'll probably get the Bloodshot book only cause I never bought the whole run. I wanted to get the series but budgets and searching for single comics/back issue hunting is just not a fun thing anymore. I think I only have the old #1 and #0 issues. But is this book also recolored like the past HC's? Its probably safe to assume like others have said that Shadowman no doubt will get a HC, then probably Eternal Warrior and Ninjak will get reprint books. Since their the other titles hinted as returning soon to the new Valiant comics.

Loving the update on the BS cover. I never cared much for the original. I'm kinda split on BWS. I love half of his art, but not so much most of the other half.
It's not that I don't have an avatar... I've just been working on it for the last few hundred years.

Bloodshot may be the onion that keeps opening with Valiant. It looks to be the connection to the old Valiant - and has a real potential to keep opening up that story - the real world vs the fictional one. Is this real? Was THAT?

This could be amazing. Or interesting. But I'm already THIS far in, so...
Hey, look! I have a podcast!
