I was never a big fan of the original, so I'll have to see more before deciding.

Agreed. I think the concept is cool. I want to see it properly executed though.Daniel Jackson wrote:I was never a big fan of the original, so I'll have to see more before deciding.

Re: Ninjak
I like that there is a lot less purple...can't even say there is purple, so that is a big improvement.
Would a ninja carry a cell phone on a mission...? I'd be afraid I might break my iPhone.

Could be cool. Nothing there I didn't like, but still too early to tell definitively.

Re: Ninjak
wouldn't this fit into the "spoilers" section?
What we need is innovation and even revolution—but not so much in the form of marketing ploys and doohickeys. What is needed is bold creative vision, excellent stories, and brilliant storytelling, in a word, entertainment. -- Jim Shooter

It doesn't really spoil anything, we've known for weeks Ninjak would be coming to *SQUEE* up Aric's *SQUEE*.Zaphod wrote:wouldn't this fit into the "spoilers" section?

It's a spoiler and it's not a spoiler (unless anyone thought Ninjak might not ever kill anyone... that's out).MarrowMan wrote:It doesn't really spoil anything, we've known for weeks Ninjak would be coming to *SQUEE* up Aric's *SQUEE*.Zaphod wrote:wouldn't this fit into the "spoilers" section?
I've edited the title so the pages don't shock anyone who's trying to avoid preview pages.

What's that weird cord coming out of the phone in the 2nd panel?

Meh.
Again, this is just 2 pages, so it really doesn't tell me much.
Who am I kidding, I'm buying it.

Re: Ninjak (upcoming pages shown)
Just ONE panel to show Ninjak using a phone?
Could they not have had a flashback where Ninjak's father lets him talk to his grandmother on the phone for the first time?
HUGE editorial blunder.

I like the art, but I wasn't real find of the original Ninjak. I am hopeful about VEI's take on the character though.

Too good looking.vikingspawn wrote:Is that Shooter behind the desk?
Shooter is a great story teller, and has a decent business savvy, but he's got a face for radio.

Re: Ninjak (upcoming pages shown)
Looks great to me. I have yet to be disappointed with anything VEI has done so far. The only problem I see is having to wait the 2 months till it comes out.

Wait....
Call me silly, but is this from the upcoming arc in X-O or is this an up and coming Ninjak book? Any which way it looks AWESOME!
