Wow, that is a great price! Keep buying from that retailer until he goes BK, haha.bribri wrote:Had a great trip to my LCS! I bought all 4 Bloodshots and both Harbingers.
Bloodshot 1:50 = $20
Bloodshot 1:20 = $12
Bloodshot Pullbox = $3.99
Bloodshot Regular = $3.99
Harbinger 1:20 = $10
Harbinger Regular = $3.99
Tax = $4.25
Discount for spending more than $25 = -$5.40
Total = $52.82

Disappointing trip to the LCS - re: Bloodshot 1 & Harbinger
When I logged in, they still had copies of both as well. I got both ... was expecting X-O #3 as well but not seeing it, it is a week behind the others now??Dr. Solar wrote:I bought both at Comixology this morning, and it seemed like their racks were endlessly full with these issues.

Wait... what? The number of digital copies that Comixology can sell is limited??
I would agree with you, but then we'd both be wrong.

Wait, I thought digital downloads counted as part of the print run. You mean, that in ADDITION to the 42,000 copies of X-O 1 there are an unlimited number of digital copies available?!! Our collections will soon be worthless if every couch potato in the world can read Harbinger #4 (with coupon) just by DOWNLOADING IT! We all know it's the CONTENT of a comic, and its availability, that drives value; which is why every issue of every comic that has been reprinted or collected over and over again has little or no value as a collectible. And why Solar #9 should be much more valuable than it is.
Fake rant over.
Although I DO think Solar 9 is a bit undervalued as a Unity prelude that has never, and may never, be reprinted. X-O 5 and Harby 5 & 6 are both covered by the new HCs, and Rai 5 should be forthcoming in a HC edition, but it may be awhile for Solar 9. PLUS, it has a darkly wonderful, mass-murdering energy baby cover! By Barry Windsor Smith!
Real rant over.
Ok, Magnus 13 & 14 are also rather important pre-Unity books that may never be reprinted, but I'd put them behind Solar 9.

Just did a run around town checking out 4 shops, so far out of the 6 I've visited only one has ordered any real quantity of Valiants (and I think SnotDrip is responsible for that), I grabbed my BS and Harby (the BS was VF+ but whatever I like this shop), and I grabbed 3 X-O second prints for cover minus the discount!

What a wuss if he couldn't carry those last 3 copies to the register.GGSAE wrote:Thanks SnotDrip for leaving me his scraps, lol! I wonder how many he snagged if he left three behind?dbngaa wrote:Great pick-up on those 2nd prints.

I couldn't wait until the end of the month, and went to my store to buy Bloodshot 1 and Harbinger 2.
No variants, just the regular issues there. Probably about 4 or 5 Harbingers and about 10 to 12 Bloodshots.

My LCS where I have a pullbox doesn't order enough to get the variants. However, I've been able to pick up some of the variants from a shop near my work. I was able to get the 1:20 for Harbinger #2 and Bloodshot #1 but the shop didn't order enough to get the 1:50 Bloodshot #1, even though they had the 1:50 for X-O #1 and Harbinger #1. I'm hoping the store will be able to keep ordering enough to get the variants. I'm a bit concerned though due to seeing a bunch of copies (maybe 15+) of X-O #2 and Harbinger #1 still on the shelves.
