What issue do you suppose this was going to be used for? Oh and .... he has both his hands! But the one that was cut off has some energy source coming from it anddddddddd what is the black swirl going around the image? Is that the hair of Ninjak? Notice the broken glass on the helmet on the ground? Similar to the preview image of Ninjak released today. Maybe this is a rejected cover to issue #5 of X-0 ??

Actually Valiant already revealed that his hand was back for issue #4 http://valiantuniverse.com/comics/x-o-manowar/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; so I guess he gets it back in next issue #3

This actually made me think of something else. We haven't seen his sword yet. Maybe the "new hand" can make itself into anything it wants? Like the Wonder Twins! Shape of .... a lightning sword!

And the other one is MUCH NICER!!! Philip is a friend, and I have seen all the cover he's done. The other cover is far superior.
