I have not bought any new Valiants since last summer (promise to my wife - I had to whittle down the collection to just four long boxes for her), but today I decided to pick up a few from my LCS (all books are unread NM-/NM stock copies from a now defunct comic store; all prices in $CDN pesos):
Magnus #10 $1.50 (their new going rate for any pre-unity issues thanks to all of the other fanboys who have been asking for them
)
Bloodshot Last Stand $1.50
Bloodshot #44, 45, 49, 50 & 51 for $0.50 apiece
Geomancer #8 $0.50
Magnus #61, 62 $0.50
Ninjak #26 $0.50
Secret Weapons #21 $0.50
Solar #59 $0.50
X-O Manowar #65 $0.50
The deal for these books is not anything to write home about, but I had to pay those exorbitant prices in order to pick up this one:
Timewalker #1 VVSS $3.00

I paid about a dollar or less for my Timewalker VVSS. It didn't have the mylar, though.comicnut_1 wrote:I have not bought any new Valiants since last summer (promise to my wife - I had to whittle down the collection to just four long boxes for her), but today I decided to pick up a few from my LCS (all books are unread NM-/NM stock copies from a now defunct comic store; all prices in $CDN pesos):

Nice! In the past I would have only had to pay $0.50 or less for any regular/variant/VVSS issue from this LCS but there have been a lot of people asking for them recently so the owner is not willing to give me as good of a deal right now.The Spider wrote:I paid about a dollar or less for my Timewalker VVSS. Between just the two of us, premium Valiants are a scarce sight indeed in E-town.

The funny thing is that at that same place I got my Timewalker VVSS, they had another one (same thing--didn't have the mylar, but the COA was there) at around 50 cents to a dollar (couldn't remember, but I think it might've been a dollar).comicnut_1 wrote:Nice! I didn't get around to buying it. I mean, they had it on the day the shop closed, but I didn't get around to buying it. I coulda traded that for several issues I was looking for...
Sorry for not responding earlier... These aren't Valiants but 30 cent variantsRai-fan wrote:Forget the Deathmate golds--which 30 cent variants?
I'm still trying for Warlock 12 & 13. Might have to go after the Werewolf by Night ones soon too. Obsession is a horrible thing.
FF 172,
Dr. Strange 17
Defenders 34, 36
Marvel 2in1 17
Capt America 197
Invaders 6,7
Marvel Triple Action 29
As for Valiants, picked up a bunch of Gold Key Magnuses, Solars, etc. for about $2-3 each including Magnus #1.

I picked up Psi-Lords #1 Gold for 15 cents and Shadowman #0 non-chrome for 15 cents. But then later that same day I purchased a Solar #2 in nm condition for $5, considering I didn't have it I figured I needed it. And I was so right, its amazing, as you all already know. I guess you mise some and you lose some.
Not as good of a mise as everyone else's, but still pretty good. I think?

Harbinger #0 is pink? Where does it say that? You asked the seller maybe?x-omatic wrote:I picked this up on ebay. There is over 300 books.

i think that you might be wrong on this one..I think that the orginal harbinger 0 is pink. It was a send away that you had to send coupons from the the first 6 harbinger comics books to get a copy. well then the blue harbinger 0 was included in the TPB...am I right? do I win a No Prize? Also I think that xo-matic would know the difference...Jaknife wrote:#0 pink is a special. it is originally more of a bluish color.

It is a No Prize...it is nothing...when you get something right and there is no prize you get a No Prize...get it...it is something stupid that I picked up somewhere...It has nothing to do with marvel or dc unless someone was giving away a No Prize if you know What issue Rogue first appeared in...First correct answer gets a No Prize...she how it works? Now this No Prize has to do with marvel...I hope that I did not take this too far off topic...to bring it back....I will be going to a con this weekend and I hope that I get some good deals and i will be able to post in this thread on monday and be completely on topic...graybola wrote:What is a no prize?
