Re: X-O Manowar #1 2nd Printing
I'll go on record as not seeing the need for the 2nd print. I will be proven wrong based on orders. I expect the orders to be less than 5K. If it's more, it was a good move by VEI, IMHO.

Did anyone ask DCBS how to order this through them? I just checked their website and couldn't find it.MrBigFeathas wrote:Will this most likely not be available from DCBS? Since it is coming next month.

Email DCBS, and they'll add it to your order. Include the catalog code for the second print and your April and May order numbers, and they'll take care of you. I've got my copies added to my May order.
You can probably just add it to your current month's order by entering the catalog code.

Re: X-O Manowar #1 2nd Printing
I emailed MOC and got this:
Hi Heath,
It looks like the 2nd printing of issue #1 was a late solicit, in April, so it did not get put in our April cart. I have re-ordered a copy, from our distributor, and put it in your cart.
Let me know if you need anything else.
Enjoy the rest of your day,

Agreed. Hopefully numbers will be shared with us.
It IS a nice cover...

Isn't a "good move" that they get the announcement that they are going to a 2nd print? the book DID sell out at the distributor level. I don't think it is a good idea to go to a 2nd print just to do it, but if it sold out at the dist. level.
Good move right?

Great looking cover! I hope this is a sign that XO#1 is truly selling well. My comic shop had a large stack of XO the day it came out and I went in this week and it looks like they've only sold a few copies. I really don't have the extra income to buy variants but this one is so purty
I might just have to pick it up.

Same. The shops around here that ordered any quantity still have them. Those that didn't don't seem to care which is what I expected.ckb wrote:I'll go on record as not seeing the need for the 2nd print. I will be proven wrong based on orders. Nice cover, but the lack of a costume sort of worries me, or it would if it was the standard cover. It looks like a standard barbarian comic, albeit a damned good barbarian comic!

Re: X-O Manowar #1 2nd Printing
I think the status of X-O 1 is like this..
Small shops that didn't order enough to get variants... are close to sold out and likely to order a few more next time.
Big shops that over ordered for the Variants are swimming in the regular issues and are likely lowering all the future orders of Valiant issues across the board.
Based on new info from my locals... I'm guessing initial 35-40k+ run on Harby, 30-35k+ run on Bloodshot. 25k-40k run on A&A depending on what happens in the next few months with the others.

Re: X-O Manowar #1 2nd Printing
I checked with my LCS. He bought in the fifty, and has sold about half. I also bought the 1:20 and 1:50 from him. He ended up with two more copies of the Aja cover, and has at least one still on the shelf. I told him I wanted the second print, and said he'd have at least one copy for me. He figures as long as he's in the black, and I am happy, I'll keep coming back. He's right.

I very curious what the 2nd print print run will be. I have to imagine there are still lots of the first print floating around. I know my LCS still has some.kevinbastos wrote:I checked with my LCS. Re: X-O Manowar #1 2nd Printing
When comic publishers saying their gonna do a 2nd print it means its no longer available at the distributer level, Diamond comics, to satisfy re-orders for the comic stores. We may see certain comics still on the shelves at stores but that doesn't mean it represents the demand all around beyond that store. Only if its really warranted do comics get another printing. Although lately I think DC Comics has gone way gung ho on multiple prints especially the #1's of their "New 52" titles. I think the #1's - #3's from DC have been getting this. I just don't see the demand where I live justifying it when all these series are practically 9-10 comics into most titles now. But again I could be eating my own words too.

So I was thinking about this book on the way to work this morning.
I think down the line, this could be a hidden gem of a book. We all know that Valiant fans are especially gotta-have-them-all-ists..... I wonder what the print run of this might be?
It could be a Justice L new 52 2nd print type situation.

I'm thinking that out here in So Cal that I'll get a chance to get some of these, but I'm curious what the availability will be in other places.

It's a safe bet that the 2nd Print of X-O #1 will be higher than X-O #1 Aja and lower than Pullbox.StarBrand wrote:I agree.Elveen wrote:So I was thinking about this book on the way to work this morning.

5,000 to 10,000 is reasonable for the second printing.
Anything under 2,000 would be a waste of time, anything over 16,000 would put cases of them unsold in someone's warehouse.
