Invincible 89, still awesome. The stuff with Dinosaurus was very funny. If Invincible was published weekly I don't think I'd need any other comics in my life

Good times man, the whole Angstron Levy saga was where I felt the, series was the VERY best. Kirkman recently mentioned bringing him back, although thatl prob be about 30 issue away!

That's where the series got really good and it has been good since then. My favorite stuff is probably the Viltrumite War stuff and some of the one off stories.

Let us know if this is any good. I was thinking about picking this up but wasn't sure if the walking dead as a novel would be any good.superman-prime wrote:WD hcs the gov. is in da house.

Marvel Special Edition #15 - 1st appearance of Shang Chi.
This was actually pretty good. I think Shang Chi might be my next Marvel Mancrush after Spidey, Daredevil, Iron Fist, Hawkeye and Iron Man.

Just finished reading:
Mass Effect: Invasion #1-4: An entertaining read that is a lead into Mass Effect 3.
Kirby: Genesis #0-4 A fun series although with a lot going on.
Kirby: Genesis-Silver Star #1-2 A good start and interesting series.
'Breed III #1-7 Other than #6 this is was a total disappointment.

My 8 yo son and I read the first TPB of Usagi Yojimbo for the first time and we both enjoyed and I'm glad that Stan Sakai has had so much success with it.

Amen. Invincible and Chew would cover all my needs.
#89 was most excellent. I have no idea what Thragg was talking about, but I'm sure it'll be awesome.

Re: What comics are you reading now?
Read the first 4 issues of both Aquaman and Flash. All I can say is, I won't be dropping these like I thought I might. For the first time in years, the characters seem fresh. Loved GJ's work on Flash, but I think Manapul could end up doing a legendary run. As for Aquaman...it's not a popular thing to say, but this could be the best the character has been since Peter David's first two years, back in the Time & Tide days.

Re: What comics are you reading now?
I love how the new Flash looks but there are some story choices that have me worried. Not stuff you've quite come to yet. Manapul is slowly reassuring me though. I'd be interested to hear Tim's thoughts on the new Flash, you out there dude?xodacia81 wrote:Read the first 4 issues of both Aquaman and Flash. Re: What comics are you reading now?
Just got back from the store with a hefty haul. Aquaman 5 & 6. REALLY loving that series. Flash 5 & 6...like you, I'm in wait and see mode but not worried. Justice League 5 & 6, which look like they could be good. I am enjoying that one, too. Fairest # 1, which should be fun. Green Arrow 6 & 7, which I'm not sure I will stick with for much longer, but I'm gonna give the new team their first arc to sell me on the book. Also...Red Lanterns #7. As a "family" of books, GL is tough to beat. I really wonder if the end of # 7 is for real or if it is only a "flesh wound"ian_house wrote:I love how the new Flash looks but there are some story choices that have me worried. Re: What comics are you reading now?
Just read #89 and thought it was great. After the viltrumite war i felt like it went through a little bit of a lull for, but it has been awesome lately. Gotta know what Thragg meant?!ian_house wrote:SQUISH!400yrs wrote:ian_house wrote:Invincible 89, still awesome. The stuff with Dinosaurus was very funny. Re: What comics are you reading now?
Just read both of those runs myself about a year ago, and I agree with you synopsis. Demon in a Bottle was kind of cheesy and tame by today's standards, still a fun read though. Simonson's Thor is amazing.jedimarley wrote:Iron Man was OK...... Little dated. Very 70's.jedimarley wrote:Finished..

I passed on Hell Yeah. The concept seemed interesting, but the preview art hurt my eyes.
