I think this one was surprisingly good. I picked up three copies, I hope it is a bit of a sleeper.

Looks really good. I believe Moonstone launched a new Spider title within the last 12 months or so. Dynamite isn't afraid to come out with a public domain title shortly after another publisher has done so with the same title. I've seen them do it before. Maybe Dynamite's was in the works already when the other publisher announced theirs. Maybe not. :hm:

I was at a Dynamite panel in late 2008 and Nicky B mentioned that they were working on getting the Spider.

they don't do much with the characters they get do they?

i got all excited with the whole "Return Of The Originals" thing they did and they only put out a few comics, even though they said they were going to put out a bunch of stuff.

how do you "get" a character that's in the public domain for anyone to use?

I was unaware that the Spider was in the public domain. Was that still the case in 2008?

It was a fun one. There were probably 20 or so people in the audience and they were taking questions. We all got to ask several questions.

Dynamite isn't afraid to come out with titles they don't have any valid claims to either.
