Archer and Armstrong (am I the only person who thought this title was really funny?)
I also thought the later title Timewalker had a lot of potential.
I did love the first 15 issues or so of A & A ...when did BWS leave...?
I had thought of putting it on my top 3 but it really went to Sh** towards the end...

Why waste time learning, when ignorance is instantaneous?

After going through some of my collection, doing inventory, I left a lot earlier than I thought! Plenty after Unity, and a few months after the serial number contest it looks like I just stopped buying with 100% regularity.myron wrote:uruchuu wrote:Solar

Its been so long ago since I read them all (I read as they came out no doubt) I couldn't tell you which series were better or worse as they went on. I just remembered A&A being one of my favorites.
I spoke too soon, BWS ended his run with issue 12 and Mike Baron took over writing duties after that.uruchuu wrote:If memory serves, BWS took over almost every part of A&A until the very end, when he ended it stating that the book had no where else to go. If they had cycled the talent around that book, it might have fared better.

Timewalker was indeed an unexpected good read. Had it come early in the Valiant history timeline, I think it would fit into many peoples favorite category as well. It just came out after the mass majority of people had given up hope on Valiant titles.

and it's not like mike baron is a poor writer...I really got into his nexus and badger stuff...it just didn't work as well for me with A & A and what BWS had laid down before...uruchuu wrote:I spoke too soon, BWS ended his run with issue 12 and Mike Baron took over writing duties after that.uruchuu wrote:If memory serves, BWS took over almost every part of A&A until the very end, when he ended it stating that the book had no where else to go. (1) Harbinger: I LOVED the dynamic of this book. I often thought that ideas and situations they got in were badly written, but the makeup of the characters and what they were doing were great.
(2) Dr. Mirage: Title just kicked *SQUEE*.
(3) Archer and Armstrong: Again...kickass...especially those first twelve issues or so.
