One thing they really emphasized was that they were going to take things slow while ramping up. Spring 2013 for a sixth fits that plan. The other title they're planning on a later release for is Eternal Warrior and would suspect that to be released this winter.

That smaller image in the middle seems to show Rai and Gilad's (?) arm with all the other announced characters. And is that Zephyr and Kris with Sting?arghh! wrote:Here are a few pictures that kind of turned out. I was using my iPhone so they aren't real good. God I hope they post some of this stuff on the VE website eventually. And those Harbinger #2 covers are freakin sweet too.

Re: Valiant C2E2 Panel was tweeted live (TRANSCRIPT IN HERE)
So I just read through all the tweets on Bleeding Cool's website and I can't believe the dude getting all upset over the $3.99 cover price. Now, admittedly, I am not happy in the least that these books are going to be that much, but I'm not going to boo them over it. If the comics are worth reading (and I can still afford it) then I'm gonna to buy them... maybe I'll just boo my LCS owner instead...
Also, did I read that right that the future HC releases are going to be digitals?

The price doesn't really bother me as I don't read many other comics anymore, but I can understand why some folks may be upset. I will say given the choice I would prefer to have a higher quality product than a cheaper lower quality book.
They can charge 4.99 if it would get BWS back on Archer and Armstrong fulltime, I'd pay it with no complaints.

A lot of great news came out of C2E2, May 2 can't get here fast enuff...
And I really don't see why anyone would be complaining about a 40pg $3.99 book, because that same price point over at Marvel, only gets you 20pgs, if anything, people should be thanking Valiant...

Re: Valiant C2E2 Panel was tweeted live (TRANSCRIPT IN HERE)
At the risk of opening this nasty can of worms, it's not like the 40 pages are all original content. X-O is 32 pages of original content (including ads, I assume) and 8 pages of what seems to be the same Harbinger story that is in the C2E2 Preview, FCBD, and available online (plus I assume more ads). It's possible that won't be the case, as Valiant was a little vague on what the "Harbinger Preview" is going to be, but if it's the same old material, then I don't really count it with the page count. Not to mention that future issues will still be $3.99 and 32 pages. Also, is Marvel 20 pages at $3.99, or is DC 20 pages at $2.99? Because I heard it was the latter and I'm positive that isn't including ads. I only read one Marvel book, but I hadn't noticed the page size shrinking.agent_graves wrote:A lot of great news came out of C2E2, May 2 can't get here fast enuff...

The only real issue I have with the $3.99 price point is that I want to collect all of the Valiant titles as they come out and eventually it's going to hit a point where the number of titles and the cover price are going to make it difficult to do that. Right now it's only $16 a month, which is doable, but what happens when there's 10-16 titles? That's when the extra $1 is going to start to matter.

To me the extra $10-16 on the issues wont be a problem.Less fast food.Im worried there might be a 1:20 variant of regular issues that would be an issue to buying all possible variants.etos45 wrote:At the risk of opening this nasty can of worms, it's not like the 40 pages are all original content. Re: Valiant C2E2 Panel was tweeted live (TRANSCRIPT IN HERE)
Well, the way I look at it, that would have paid for 5 other issues if they were at the $2.99 price point. That's a big deal to me. It really is going to be one of those things where it'll depend on my money situation and how much I'm enjoying the titles. If they're good, then I'll probably make cuts to accommodate, if I'm not loving them then I'll drop them.comicsyte95 wrote:To me the extra $10-16 on the issues wont be a problem.Less fast food.Im worried there might be a 1:20 variant of regular issues that would be an issue to buying all possible variants.
Now that I see the 1:20 variants are continuing, I've given up on having a complete set of the variants. I'm going to try for all of X-O and Harbinger #1 and I'm probably going to get everything except the 1:50 for Bloodshot (unless they make it a gold or something besides new art), and I already know I'm not interested in the #2 variants or X-O #3.

I am in a point of my life where I can/want to be. But I am also remembering a point of my life when I was whole crazy on things - and then dropped everything off a cliff. If the comics are good, I'll keep buying. If they aren't, I will drop comics as a whole. Pretty simply, plenty of quarter bin fodder is out there.

I know this picture is horrible but if you look closely you can see the new Valiant Logo on the cover. The south pointing v is oversized on the compass.
