There have been some freakish numbers outside of the big two in the past few years; IIRC Project Superpowers #0 sold 113K.

But as stated previously, 'successful' sales thresholds for VEI as an indie are likely to be very different to those of DC or Marvel.

A&A for me! Can't wait to see how they handle these guys, what's changed from the original version, etc. I'm very excited about the other books, but I can't believe that A&A is part of the first wave of new Valiant books! I personally think it's a bold move and shows how much they're focused on characters rather than just making big noise (which they've proven to be pretty darn good at as well).

Yep, and that's why those saying "they won't match DC or Marvel" just make me chuckle, because VEI is operating on a different standard of success.

After the announcements I would rank them:

Fifty-seven votes so far. I don't think our polls usually have nearly that many votes. I wonder if this indicates increased traffic to the Valiant Fans board, or merely increased interest in this specific poll over other polls.

I am new to the boards here, though I have periodically visited this site over the years. An amazing resource of Valiant info and history. Big props to the guys who have been the keepers of Valiant knowledge over the past decade. The relaunch has me so excited for comics again after numerous disappointments over the years. I recently ordered the three VE trades to get myself prepped for the relaunch and can hardly wait until May.

Ever checked the man's Facebook? He's definitely got a feel for the medium he's made a career in and that bodes well for the book. Of course, did you ever read his work on BRPD? Good stuff. I'm pleased with his selection. He gets the way characters interact on team books.
