Speaking of "artistic simplicity" and "Flag of Japan", have you seen the cover of Rai #0?BruceReville wrote:

I could be wrong, but I don't see that cover as an homage at all. Similar components by incorporating a flag, but probably purely coincidental that flags were used on previous Bloodshot covers. We're just guessing, but if we have to wonder if it's an homage, then it's probably not.
Besides, that new Bloodshot image is way cooler than either of those previous covers!!

I would agree with you, but then we'd both be wrong.

That is an interesting look.
Am I seeing/interpretting it correctly? It looks like the red spot isn't a scar like in VH1, but rather it looks like the skin is missing from that area (hence the ligaments/blood vessels are more visible)...?

I took it to be that the nanites were more active in that area, putting more stress on the muscles and veins, so they were more apparent.

I keep seeing the symmetric "seams" of a shirt on the edge of the shoulders.Dr. Solar wrote:Oh, wow. I didn't even look at it that way. Could be.SJS4 wrote:That is an interesting look.

If there's a shirt there, then I see the blood in the chest as "bleeding through" the fabric and dripping down the front of the shirt.
The wrinkling/shading of the area around the blood looks like wrinkling/folds in the fabric.

Plus, his body looks like body, not fabric.

Plus, shirts don't cling to the indentation under clavicles. Is the shirt glued to him?

Re: Bloodshot announced
Some points in the image are confusing. I also was thinking it was a shirt (sleeveless) that was roughly the same color as his skin (this is also in line with one of the Aja images that was previously released). There are seams across his shoulders and looks like shirt wrinkles on his chest. If he is shirtless and that is skin, then he has no nipples.Dr. Solar wrote:I don't see "shirt" at all. But, the red circle and immediately around it doesn't quite look like a shirt. Guess we'll have to wait on additional images to clear it up.
I would agree with you, but then we'd both be wrong.

It looks like skin to me, except for the nipple thing. The bleeding from his circle could be merely symbolic, like the flag.Dr. Solar wrote:I don't see "shirt" at all. I see the edges of his shoulder muscles.greg wrote:I keep seeing the symmetric "seams" of a shirt on the edge of the shoulders.

Re: Bloodshot announced
The more I look at it, it seems like the center area is "cut out" from the shirt. It looks like a grey shirt to me. Material looks like fabric as do the wrinkles surrounding the red.
