You really don't know how much you need a smart phone until after you have it. When my first smart phone met with an untimely demise, I was rushing out to get a new one that night. You get kind of hooked on the constant access to everything.
Besides, how can you posts on the boards while driving down the interstate at 90mph without a smart phone and TapaTalk?

Same here. My cellphone stays off about 95% of the time. I basically keep it just for emergencies. I haven't the least need for or interest in a smart phone.
Re: The talking X-O Man O War Poster
I'm at war with my ex-wife about this .... she has a smartphone but she leaves it off 95% of the time. Straight to voice mail. How will you know if there is an emergency if you have your phone turned off??? My son is 2 years old and several times the school has tried to call her for minor emergencies and it goes straight to voice mail !!!Tim wrote:My cellphone stays off about 95% of the time. I meant if I'm in an emergency. My wife knows where I am all the time and can easily get hold of me one way or another if I'm needed for an emergency. If anyone else needs me they can get me through her.Crow331 wrote:I'm at war with my ex-wife about this .... she has a smartphone but she leaves it off 95% of the time. Straight to voice mail. Technically I guess it's just a daycare but they teach them a lot, so we call it school. He just moved up to the more advanced class. He turned 2 in November and he can count to 20 ... he also knows the ABC song as well as many other songs and he can almost do a 24 piece puzzle by himself. Some people tell me that he is very smart and then other people tell me that is "normal" so who the hell knows. He's special in my world

I have a crap phone as my students tell me. But it has been through the washing machine and still works. Can,t be that bad. I need a phone because of my children's care and schooling.
I find it strange that my students have £400 phones but don,t bring a pencil to class.
But I still think the poster is a mega cool idea! I just cannot access it.
I will use Ianhouse,s.

Re: The talking X-O Man O War Poster
So, I went to my LCS and not only submitted my "Pull Variant" request form, but they had the talking poster right next to the register, displayed on the counter. The gentleman working there got excited about my submission, and he scanned the code, placed his iPhone over the mouth area, and I got the chance to see this. It was AWESOME!!!
Not only that, but my LCS is VERY excited about the relaunch and had nothing but fantastic things to say about this particular promotion.
WOO HOO!!!
