Seconded. I like the android platform better but for a company to sink $$$ into development of an application ... make so much more sense to go iOS. That is why I cannot get rid of my iPad.

Oh thought there might be some paper comic purists... I feel like if valiant is going to stage a real comeback they need the digital to bring in the young punk new readers...

I prefer paper comics, but I'm all for there being digital as well. I understand the desire to carry a ton of comics on an iPad over a comic box.Eswift88 wrote:Oh thought there might be some paper comic purists... I intend on buying a few of each issue on paper.I will only buy paper comics i cant see spending money for a comic i dont own or cant be collected but if a code on a comic gives out an e comic or on a dvd polybagged i would read it.
If I just can't be me ,and the Arrow isn't enough.. then maybe I should be Ra's al Ghul

There are many problems with iOS.
I would agree with you, but then we'd both be wrong.

Re: Valiant iPad ap?
I think Dino is saying that "Everything is" going down the aforementioned high tech road.
I totally get that not having paper comics takes the collectability away and that would be a shame. I'm a hoarder to some degree and I collect lots of stuff (currency, sports memorabilia, formerly comics) so to go only-digital would be a shame. If Valiant went in that direction, I would definitely buy digital and some paper versions.

It might take the collectability away from new comics, but could increase the collectability of old comics.

Re: Valiant iPad ap?
Im thinking Dino should scan some of the old books to be viewed on Comixology. Theres an area for free books there.. then maybe start the trend for a lower price for ebooks than cover price for printed books.
10,000 people buying a $1 ebook from VAILAINT past could equal some good cash for future VALIANT projects

Why scan them again when other people have already done that?IanAlexavier wrote:Im thinking Dino should scan some of the old books to be viewed on Comixology. Theres an area for free books there.. then maybe start the trend for a lower price for ebooks than cover price for printed books.

Maybe they could do like DC did and just offer select issues at the $1 price. While I, as the purchaser, would like to see them as cheap as possible, I don't see the $1 model paying off for them on all issues.
