Partially for Greg, but also for everyone else...

Is there an interest in having forums for fan art, fan fiction, and custom Valiant action figures - that sort of thing?

I have a good group of customized Valiant action figures sitting in my closet somewhere - but I don't want to upload them here if everyone would think I'm too much of a fanboy for doing so. :)

I've also seen some excellent fan fiction out there, particularly for Shadowman and X-O. I think it would be great to share this with the other fans here, unless of course it's fan fiction along the lines of tawdry romance novels... :)

Just a thought.

I made a Shadowman and Master Darque action figure years ago. I think I could still find them. I also drew a Turok cover for Wizard that I never sent in....Let me know if this gets going! I'd love to see other peoples work.

My website has some Bloodshot FanFic, custom action figures, and some fan art (none of my own, mind you). Feel free to check it out (and let me know what you think).

Didn't Greg buy a large collection of custom figures from a fellow board member last year?

Well, here's the deal...
I'm almost maxed out on server space... so what would the plan be
if I'm not the one hosting the necessary images on the server?

It's no problem to make a page with links to other sites/pages...
but the actual storage of the images could be an issue.

Well, since I opened my big mouth, I guess I can offer some server space.

Question, and you can toss this to me private if you want - how much space do you have available, and how much does hosting cost you per month? My day job is with a web services company (primarily credit card processing, but we do host some on the side) and I might be able to offer you something.

forgive my ignorance, or not, doesn't really matter, but is linking from another site the same as hosting? because i am really confused when it comes to the 'hosting' of images.

Depends on the situation.

The loose definition of a web host is any computer that stores data to be viewed on the internet. So, in this case, I think that is one of the things which Greg is looking for - he only has so much space for this website, and therefore needs to have other places hold the information for him as well.

And Greg - is 100 - 250MB a good start? Drop me an email so we can iron out particulars.
