War Is Coming
War Is Coming. I wonder if that means war is coming to X-O Manowar, (which would make sense, as he is a Man-O-War) or if war is coming to the entire Valiant Universe.
Valiant is the son of the New Universe.

it is an intresting tag line but I think it just refers to War as in X-O ManoWARStarBrand wrote:War Is Coming. I wonder if that means war is coming to X-O Manowar, (which would make sense, as he is a Man-O-War) or if war is coming to the entire Valiant Universe.
If not that could be really cool.

A major crossover would not be good this soon into a relaunch.

War Is Coming
Unity arrived a little over a year after the first comic. Perhaps 'War' is coming in 2013.

I wonder if Valiant is going to use X-O to build up to the first crossover in the same way that Solar was the build up to Unity? I could see using the Spider-Aliens in a way similar to the Melev war or some other platform-wide invasion.StarBrand wrote:Perhaps the initial X-O storyline has a subplot leading into a major universe-wide war.greg wrote:Unity arrived a little over a year after the first comic. Since it's 2012 maybe it would make sense to tie the relaunch into a whole Mayan end-of the-world/war theme.....instead of a 1999 apocalyptic storyline a 2012 one

Very interesting idea. I hadn't thought of that.
Re: War Is Coming
Yep a major crossover early and I'm out. I got back into monthly comics w/ the New 52 for DC. Now I want to expand to Valiant. Small number of titles to start is a key. A huge crossover and I'm out. Now they can do a one month deal and it wouldn't be so bad with just 3 or 4 titles. But start getting into multi-month, 6-9 titles, with extra book to "tie it all together" - I'm gone.BruceReville wrote:A major crossover would not be good this soon into a relaunch.

Re: War Is Coming
Is there an appropriate time? My speculation is that they'll follow the original Valiant plan, a slow build of titles, over the first year, then a crossover in summer of 2013. After that crossover, lay new tracks.DrFever wrote:Yep a major crossover early and I'm out. I got back into monthly comics w/ the New 52 for DC. Now I want to expand to Valiant. With six of the 'original' titles still available, plus Bloodshot, Armories, HardCorps, Ninjak, PSILords, Dr. Mirage, Secret Weapons, Timewalker, and Visitor out there... These guys have material to draw from.
I guess I have a different standard. If they are good, I'll keep buying them. Who am I kidding? If most of them are good, I'll keep buying them.

I would want none of the New Valiant to be associated with any of the Dark Keys in passing conversation or not - PERIOD!kevinbastos wrote:Most of Dark key are good, but uh... Stupid spider aliens and their stupid name changes...

Re: War Is Coming
Let's see the line prove they can make it past issue 10 for three titles before they try for a company-wide Unity-style crossover.

Went to the LCS yesterday and they had the poster in the front window of the store. I asked the owner about it and he said "yeah, but they won't make it, no new company does. I just put it up because it looks cool."
I, however, will have more faith.

Not surprising to hear that kind of reaction coming from a shop owner. Hopefully he will be proved wrong.xodacia81 wrote:Went to the LCS yesterday and they had the poster in the front window of the store.
