Spider Island
Here's a review of Spider-Man 672 at spiderfan.org. I really need to pick this storyline up.

Another review of the same issue. I posted it elsewhere, but after then running into the review of this issue at spiderfan.org, I wanted to back that up by posting this review here as well.

Re: Spider Island
Although I haven't read issue 673, the Epilogue issue, the rest of Spider-Island was awesome! I rarely like events or crossovers or anything, but this was really good.
There is a 39.99 hardcover in the current previews that collects all the issues in ASM, Venom and a few other issues.

What was the point of spider island?
I've not read any issues, but I just want to know the ultimate point (and with the title I'm more than likely not picking it up).

I still have an issue to read, but the ultimate point seems to be to undo alot of what One More Day did and to bring back Kaine. It told a really fun story in one big event as well. This was probably the best Marvel "event" I've read in a long long while.

Re: Spider Island
The story is OK but that frigging Humberto Ramos art looks ridiculous. JJJ is about the only character in the book who is remotely identifiable.

I thought Ramos looked a bit too manga-ish for Spidey, but I've gotten use to it, I guess.

Re: Spider Island
I don't think it's all that Manga-ish. I really thought that Dan Slott showed how much he loves Spidey in this one. There's a ton going on as everyone is gaining Spider-man's powers. It was just a fantastic and fun story. I like Ramos for the most part, his style has a lot of energy going for it. Is it classic? No, but I don't think it's bad at all. It CAN be bad we he starts drawing too blocky though.
