Heck, even Thunderbird - who was created JUST for the killin' - has come back - in addition to flashback stories and younger brother.

PLEASE, Marvel.

Kill SOMEBODY!

Eric Masterson. ThunderStrike. :)
Grim Reaper resurrected him in Avengers (1997) 10 & 11 and I wouldn't be surprised to see him again sometime soon.

(Fear Itself #7 hints at a surprise inside and who else in the Marvel Universe belongs in the Marvel Thor Mythology?)
Do they need another one? They recently had a Thunderstrike miniseries by Tom Defalco in which the hammer is passed on to his son...

In Thunderstrike vol. 2 #1 states that Eric had turned down a place in Vallhalla and hints that he might be coming back to life at a later date.

Eric's son plays big in the Homefront series of Fear Itself. Who is to say Dad doesn't show up? And besides did Marvel really need Ben Riley - Red Hulk - Red She-Hulk - Son of Hulk - Young Tony Stark - Madelyne Pryor - or any of the many incarnations of the same character before from Marvel (Or even DC for that matter) - No, but we got them anyway.
Yeah but those are related massively popular characters. Is the world really ready for Thunderstrike Family? LOL

Well --- He's Back! - Fantastic Four 600 came out today with little or no fanfare.

The cover to Thor 11 shows the regular Thor on it, not Tanarus. Not sure what's up.
Valiant is the son of the New Universe.
