You all have incorrect opinions.
Look, Return of the Jedi is not Revenge of the Sith. It's not even fair to compare them.

But dont forget.. Episode 6 WAS going to be called Revenge of the Jedi

Actually, I fit that description. Seriously, think about it. If Lucas had made the movies earlier, he would have had different actors for one. And I'd like to think the scripts would have been better if they had come out before George's arrogance was so great that he thought he didn't need a co-writer. Then there's the whole CGI debacle. The aliens in the original movies looked a hell of a lot better than all the computer animated *SQUEE* in the prequels. Tell me that Jabba doesn't look freakin' awesome in Return of the Jedi. Then there's the whole anime style influence from movies like Blade and The Matrix. Yoda flippin' around? Come on! :!: But I'll stop before I get carried away.

We now return you to your regularly scheduled thread.
I still believe that if the internet had existed at the time of the original Star Wars trilogy,
it wouldn't have been as "awesome" as we make it out to be today.

Star Wars comes out... it's great.
Then Empire... it's great.
Next is Return of the Jedi... 6 years after Star Wars...
6 years of waiting for the big finale of the movies.

What do we get?
A grand finale of the Death Star exploding... again.
The revelation that Luke and Leia were brother and sister... who kissed in the last movie.
Finally, the credits roll... with... a sing-along with teddy bears.
Greg, I don't think I have ever so solidly agreed with any of your statements as I do now.
I agree, too, but still, ROTJ was cheesy fun. Unlike the last 3 movies. Those were just cheesy, and in a bad way-at best. (shivers)
George can suck it.
By the way, kudos to everyone that has waited this long to see the return of Valiant. Let's hope the wait was worth it. I have high hopes.

Knowing the correct date requires math skills to a certain degree so I just embarrassed myself by linking this on my Facebook page as if it just happened. The fact that this was posted June 2 and it's currently the 2nd confused me...

They haven't wasted any of my time. *I* did. Same for every one of us here. VEI may have wasted some of their own time, but it was their time to waste. And it will eventually be determined whether it was worth it or not.

If you have no interest in VEI because they've taken so long, that is fine and that is your prerogative. But they aren't in control of YOUR time. That's all on YOU. So it's not right to be *SQUEE* at them because you wasted your own time.

Just because they didn't cater to your personally desired time schedule, doesn't mean they wasted your time. The world doesn't revolve around you.

Cyberstrike ~ I am not picking on you, but when I read what you said I was confussed. I may not of put it like Heath. But I really don't understand how they wasted your time?
I work in the building industry ~ even when I work 15/18 hour days it still takes longer than I thought it would. I just accept that people can only work so fast. And sometimes YOU have to rely on other people.
Imagine orgainising a brand new company with copyright issues / lawyers/ office staff / income generation ~ it takes time.

I don't think anyone has wasted your time ~ they have been investing their own time in the company they are trying to create

I interpreted his comments like waiting for a table at a restaurant.

If you thought you would get a table in 20 minutes, then 2 hours later you don't have one... you would probably think that they've wasted your time.

The question is whether the restaurant SAID it would be 20 minutes. Because if they never said a time, personal estimates (and disappointments) about the time are irrelevant.

Meanwhile, someone tried to steal the sign out front, the head chef walked out, and you've actually been sitting in a building that had a banner out front saying "COMING SOON".

Expectations about when you should actually be eating there would be vague, at best.

I missed most of the frustration that may have come from the waiting that started in 2008 and while I think everyone would like to see what they have now, the key thing to remember is none of us are owed anything and also in a few months there should be new issues of the stories we all enjoyed in the past.

If it takes them a little longer to get things in place so be it. If they put out a good product I will support them. If they don't I won't.

I would think they (VEI) talks about this all the time. I hope it is the singular focus of all they do.

Clever, but the difference is your life didn't stop. You aren't sitting, waiting in a restaurant for a table. You are carrying on with your day every day as per usual. Nothing about Valiant has disrupted anything. You are not sitting around waiting and waiting. Your time is still your own.

Then again, I don't know what you're doing. Maybe you have been waiting around and doing nothing. You could be sitting at the comic store and refusing to check out until you get your Valiant books. In which case, that's kinda weird and I'd say you are wasting your own time.
