Valiant merchandise you would've wanted.
Seeing an Emperor Palpatine Pez dispenser and all the other wacky new Star Wars merchandise got me thinking aout how Valiant really missed out on the mass merchandise thing. Pins, T-shirts, and a couple beer bottles don't seem like enough. What crazy sort of merchdise would've been cool for Valiant?
An Armstrong shot glass?
Valiant Pez Dispensers? (a Master Darque one would rule
)
Valiant Hero Clix?
Valiant the Collectible Card Game?
X-O Commando Barbie?
Master Darque cerial with marshmellow tatoos and green nero-puffs?

Best video game never done:
The HARD Corps first person shooter. Not only do you go around blasting super powered types in spandex with machine guns (how fun would that be?
) but imagine a shooter where you can walk through walls, create energy shields, fly, use nueral spikes, make walls (and people
) explode by touching them, and so forth.
The fact that no one even tried making this is further proof that there were a lot stupid people at Acclaim.

Or an Armorines game!
Er, never mind.
I wonder how the new owners of the characters plan on using the video game possiblities. Turok could easily be a moneymaker again; a lot of N64 owners would love another shot at that (Evolution was OK, but could have been a lot better ... maybe they should have just concentrated on a single platform instead of trying to flood the market).
But most of the people who bought the original Turok game weren't doing it out of any fondness for the comic character; it was just a great game. And then we got to watch Acclaim milk the character with some really bad comics, but that's neither here nor there ...

I couldn't believe they didn't go with the kick @$$ original armor designs for them and chunked the VH-1 story. Got a crappy Starship Troopers wanna-be instead.depluto wrote:Or an Armorines game!

Though other people weren't as stupid. I wonder if Gunny knows Master Chief stole his armor?

I would love to see another Turok game as well. Granted the last one was not up to par, but it was still a good game. Does Western publishing now own the rights to do Turok video games?depluto wrote:Or an Armorines game!
