DC's new logo

Ugh. Looks too generic to me. Can't tell it apart from any other company out there. It reminds of a sports team logo for some reason.

Looks like an ad campaign for the Washington Wizards, and Wizard sucks.

It looks kind of "light" if you know what I mean. At least it's not pink or rainbow colored. :|

Hmm...kinda bland looking. You would think that after all these years, they could have come up with something better.

Hated it! Get a poll going for this crapster. No one so far likes it. Why did they have the urge to do this and when does it start?

I believe it is being used only to support DC's new universe called "Pansy *SQUEE* Heroes."

Welll...eh...it's not HIDEOUS, like you all made it out to be....

A lil' American Idol-ish, which is dumb...

But not horrible. With the right colors, it could prolly be decent.

Hard to believe the Bullet's 30 years old, huh?

That reminds me of the Simpsons episode with Mr. Sparkle the dishwashing detergent from Japan.

Why is it that every time I think I know the answers, someone goes and changes the questions?

Detective Comics was the first ongoing series published by the company that Harry Donenfeld 'bought' (actually, foreclosed on) from Major Malcolm Nicholson-Wheeler. It began it's run with the first issue dated March, 1937. The company took it's 'name' (it was officially National Periodical Publications until the 70's) from it's first regular title. The logo for many, many years was 'Superman - DC - National Comics'.

It's also the oldest continuosly published comic book title in the world. It began its run a full 15 months before the publication of Action #1.

Some have even made the comment that DC actually stood for 'Donenfeld's Comics'...he was that in control of the company. ;)

I'm glad they settled on Detective Comics. Donenfeld's Comics just doesn't have that great of a ring to it.

Does have a nice ring to it.
