Gotten through the first month, at least the first three regular books. I do not have the Ultra Monthly books yet to look at. I'll get them eventually, and review them as well.

I think I have 4 of the 6 Ultra Monthly issues. If I remember right, it is mostly just hyping up the other Ultraverse books and are not full comics. A bit like an Ultraverse-specific Malibu Sun.Dev Em wrote:http://alookbackattheultraverse.blogspot.com/

Yeah - the way they treated them was like Ultra Monthly was an actual magazine (Even though it was like 12 pages long) - reporting events like a magazine would. I remember one had "Win A Date With Mantra". That would be so hot and creepy at the same time.Chiclo wrote:I think I have 4 of the 6 Ultra Monthly issues. Which part about Mantra is creepy? The fact that early in the run, her body is inhabited by a ~1500 year old warrior who doesn't understand how to be a modern woman or the fact that once he got his soul into a male body he began to date Mantra?BruceReville wrote:Yeah - the way they treated them was like Ultra Monthly was an actual magazine (Even though it was like 12 pages long) - reporting events like a magazine would. Q&A with Norm Breyfogle. Remember how good those early Prime issues were?

Robertson was the regular pencilier for The Solution for the first 4 issues (During the same time Nightman 1 came out) and only did fill-in work for various Ultraverse titles afterwards penciling 1 issue of almost every title at various times. My guess is that he possibly was over committed with 2 titles and Ha replaced him after issue 1. After Solution #4 he began floating around different titles.
In the beginning Malibu started having release issues and instead of falling too far behind they began to assign artists to fill-in when the regular artist couldn't make the deadline. Robertson became one of those artist for Malibu.

Ultraforce is now available on Netflix streaming.
It's even worse than I remember.
