Yes! I liked quite a bit of Acclaim and believe there are several golden nuggets in many of those runs that could be useable to VEI. Again, I can't wait!dino wrote:Quoted for truth.Daniel Jackson wrote:Could be, but some of the ideas they came up with did work. I think it would be foolish to simply cast everything Acclaim did to the curb just because some of it was dreck.

I really like what I've read of Shadowman. I'm usually a character driven guy and I enjoyed Jack Boniface, but in this rare case, I think I enjoyed the Shadowman concept better. I mean they really didn't develop Jack. We know he played sax and not too much more.
If they wanted to stick to the rai 0 story and go with a different Shadowman, i would be good with that. They could even develop the character before he became Shadowman.

I bought all the "eternal warriors" issues, but overall I don't remember liking much of the "Acclaim" reboots. Which ones were good or worth reading? I just started re-reading my old valiant comics (still on the pre-unity stuff) but I might pick up some of the acclaim stuff if its cheap and entertaining.geocarr wrote:Yes! I didn't like Acclaim Eternal Warriors that much either. I like Master Darque/Darque Passages, Deadside (too bad #4 was never published), Q&W, Shadowman V3, and Solar.SJS4 wrote:I bought all the "eternal warriors" issues, but overall I don't remember liking much of the "Acclaim" reboots. I thought the Acclaim Eternal Warriors premise was interesting, but I did not like the way Gilad was portrayed. He seemed more like villain than a hero.iggy101us wrote:I didn't like Acclaim Eternal Warriors that much either. Not to get TOO off-topic, but since Iggy mentioned the un-published Deadside #4 I was thinking...would VEI ever publish that issue (if it actually exists in some form), or any of the other un-published items that they might have in their possesion. I realize the market wuld be about 4 people, but I'd love to have some of those issues. Not high on their priority list I'm sure.

Maybe in digital depending on how complete the issue is, but I would imagine if they were going to put anything in print, it would be the rest of the VH1 books and maybe a Q&W omnibus.dbngaa wrote:Not to get TOO off-topic, but since Iggy mentioned the un-published Deadside #4 I was thinking...would VEI ever publish that issue (if it actually exists in some form), or any of the other un-published items that they might have in their possesion.
