As I see it there is no, "Tap tap, by auction".

Usually item are posted in this thread to bring attention to them so others can purchase. Some times the blokes across the pond will call attention to a listing so one of us can grab it.

The Unity #0 plot is also sold separately. $22 + $6 S&H is too much for me for a photocopy even if it comes with a head sketch.

That is getting old school price like. On the other end, I've seen 2 "NM" Harby 1's show up with BIN prices of $20.00 in the past couple of days. They went very quickly obviously.

Yeah, don't worry about it at all. Maybe if one of your buddy PMs you, lay off. Otherwise, part of the fun is trying to find something that no one else found. The stuff that's found, bid it up.

Thanks! Gotta keep an eye on that. If things get like when the Harby movie was announced, I'd be surprised, but I don't want to miss it again.

they graded it at 9.2.

You know, there was a lot on eBay a few weeks ago with five of these issues that went for about $30...wonder if that winner is trying to cash in. I'm going to see if the auction is still showing up...Nope, or I'm not doing something right. Just curious. There's a Gold Key Magnus #1 8.5 for $895...that also seems high, but I may be wrong. To be fair though, "high" just means more than you can get someone to pay. So it may be priced just right.

the one on eBay a few weeks ago was the no price variant, I was the one who bought it. This one is the with price. I agree with you. I do hope he gets it.

I think it's a safe bet that the announcement from VEI has garnered some newfound appreciation for the classic Valiant Issues. It seems like alot of the old Pre-Unity grails are also on the rise like Rai #3 & 4 and Couponed Magnus issues. It looks like for the time being its a sellers market which isn't bad as lets face it Valiant has been way under appreciated for some time. Hopefully some of these comic "Speculators" will actually crack the issues open and realize what awesome stories we have known for years.

I agree with you about the Magnus issues. 6 months ago I bought a run of 1-8 with cards and coupons for about $15.00 (less than what i paid for just the Steel Nation TPB). Now, even Elveen's summer sale prices put that run at $25.00. But as you said, with any luck there are new readers coming on board.
