It doesn't take a genius to work out that you arent the only one feeling that way here, but in the long run im pretty confident they will be putting out some great books with shweet creative teams.
Don't let what came before spoil what is about to happen.

:thumb:
Yep. No doubt many of us are frustrated at how long it has taken and about the bumps we've heard about over the last few years. Heck, I'm not even saying that this new announcement means everything is on its way. However, in the end, if they put out good books, that's all I want. There's other stuff I like reading in the meantime.

After trying the Dark Key lines and not liking them much and pretty much knowing that the line was doomed to failure after reading a few issues, I'm willing to wait for something good even if it takes forever.

I just hope that whoever is the editor of the line has the sense to realize when something is terrible and has the balls to say it and not release it..... especially if it's one of the first issues (especially, especially the very first issue like Solar 1) of a line.

Fortunately, in my opinion Dino has always had pretty good taste regarding current comics so hopefully the editor they hire will have what it takes to make sure this line is up to snuff and not dated trite.

I'd like to see things like Jack's foretold death in 1999 be held as truth still
What an interesting premise to build a new world around! :hm:
It could tie-in the old and spring forward the new...

Ever onward!

Actually, someone did pay $125 for a CGC 9.8 X-O Manowar #1 yesterday morning "Buy It Now" on Ebay.
A little odd, since there was another one for $95 also available.

:P

Otherwise, no bumps. I think that one sale was the high and low of the reaction.

[Edit]
Looks like an ungraded Harbinger #1 sold for $50.
http://cgi.ebay.com/Harbinger-1-coupon- ... 0481212456

CGC 9.8 copies of Bloodshot #6 (first Ninjak) and Ninjak #1 both sold for $34 each.
Considering the full cost of slabbing is about $30 (including shipping to and from CGC), I'd say those books sold at "full cover price". :D

With all of this VALIANT news, when do you guys think I will be able to start selling my extra pre-unity books for big money?

What's "big money"? Considering the print runs relative to today's books,
"big money" would be somewhere around original cover price, right?

Some clowns completely wrote off Valiant and a high grade copy of certain issues can be hard to come by—is that wishful thinking? :?

Well, I'll put it this way... there are certain issues that I will gladly pay full cover price for... as many as I can get.
So, I suppose "big money" must be somewhere higher than my never-ending buy price.

Wouldn't it be nice if owning Pre Unity VALIANT now was the equivalent of
owning Silver Age Marvel in 1980?

the only way Turok #1 will be worth anything more than the paper it's printed on is if 98% of them spontaneously combust...

I think we are just better off buying silver.

Not right now, though.

Here's hoping the art is better than in VH2.

While Bloodshot vol. 2 (as a whole) was actually better than vol. 1, the _only_ art I thought was decent out of the whole '97 relaunch was Shadowman and related titles (like Deadside).

And as someone who actually enjoyed VH1 Ninjak and was *SQUEE* that ended as a cliffhanger, mid-story, the Kurt Busiek cartoony Shazam rip-off that was Ninjak vol. 2 made me want to puke.
