VEI Bloodshot Movie Update
From: Super Hero Hype.com
SHH: What about these other things? Was adapting Valiant's "Bloodshot" something you were really considering at one point.
Vaughn: I'm getting a new draft of it next week. Yeah, there are not many things. I'm so exhausted I'm going to take at least a couple months off now and then… it's very weird but if I have to make a movie, it's 'cause I see the whole thing in my head and I know it's going to be effortless in a sense of engaging my mind. That hasn't happened yet on what my next project is going to be.

I don't think so.leonmallett wrote:Arguably it is no more "a movie is on the way" than the Harbinger-Ratner announcement.iggy101us wrote:![]()
VEI should put that on their Facebook page.
Harbinger was more ~ on the wind~ or airy fairy as I would say.
If we are talking about minium 2 nd draft of script. ? more likely 5 or 6 daft of scrift. Then their has been money and time and contacts made about this. Thier are interested parties.
I never heard anything about Harbingeer except rumors. Maybe I miised something about the harbingeer films. If I have please sent me info ( as I am behind

All that talk of what draft they are up to is just speculation, my friend. Considering how long so many movies remain undeveloped/unproduced, I would not get too hopeful until pre-production is truly underway.Phantom.. wrote:I don't think so.leonmallett wrote:Arguably it is no more "a movie is on the way" than the Harbinger-Ratner announcement.iggy101us wrote:![]()

I agree and if persons have been given any hope of a movie deal you can only imagine how much energy is being diverted away from making comics.jbtheo wrote:well this is quite random.though I take all of that with a grain of salt; until the offical green light is given, this is all just blah blah to me.
What would you rather have... a movie or comics ? Not saying that a movie could not lead to comics. It could provide the obvious lack of capital (i.e. income from investment made) to start up a comic line. I think the Marvel Model is working for 'Marvel' at this time but it could very well turn into a movie making business and a 'oh yeah, we also make comics' type of thing.
My 'preference' is to have monthly comics over a movie every two to three years (and I don't believe anyone on the 'buying side of VEI' attended anything close to a 'making comics' course/seminar/webinar/TELECON/school but rather movie making school).
Just food for thought and a possibility that in a round about way, we 'could' have new Valiant comics back in print... I hope you all keep your expectations high when they hopefully arrive on scene and don't geek out just because Valiant may or does see print again.
And I think that jbtheo is SPOT ON... heck we could not even handle some news about the Dark Horse saga with Shooter. LOL Not going to let this one get spun up because 'Valiant/Bloodshot' was mentioned at the end of an interview.
