I have noticed this aswell on ebay UKThe Spider wrote:Kind of both. Plus, Rich Johnston brings them up on his Bleeding Cool site.caxiotis wrote:Has anybody noticed that a lot of image comics new #1 books had crazy demand in their first couple weeks.
Skull kickers
Green wake
27
Blue estate
Non player
Butcher baker
Morning glories
I am sure there are more. Is this just speculation or just low print runs. I moving toward speculation. Anybody else have thoughts?
Nonplayer got a lot of buzz because of the art and positive early reviews (people like Moebius and Warren Ellis were praising it)
Not only Image, other so called Key Books in marvel and DC.
Their is a strong sence of speculation ~ due to some books getting high prices again.
Maybe a new group of people comming in that did not experiance the last 'bubble'.
Talking of Bubble avoid Tec stocks, they are over priced at the mo.
The Venom 2011 series looks like it's doing well on the back issue market. The first issue is selling well at 5.99. http://cgi.ebay.com/VENOM-1-2011-MARVEL ... 1e620c84ab

That's Warren from thecargohold. He often buys quantities of new books. I like to check out what he's selling sometimes.hulk181man wrote:Wow - how many does that guy have!?StarBrand wrote:The Venom 2011 series looks like it's doing well on the back issue market. The fact that I had about 15 of these when they came out and sold them for $50 each............. now it's likeStarBrand wrote:Wow. Congrats.400yrs wrote:I just sold a raw high grade copy of Chew #1 for $325 shipped.
Listed as $344.95 obo. I got 2 offers. Both were solid. The book was only up for 3-4 days, I think and had about 50 views and 8 watchers.

I'm down to just my personal copy.
Booster Gold #44 is a Flashpoint tie-in, and might be a bit overlooked.

I just called my LCS—they have one copy left and its mine.ian_house wrote:The only worthwhile read too.StarBrand wrote:Booster Gold #44 is a Flashpoint tie-in, and might be a bit overlooked.

I'm unsure about this, went past Forbidden Planet again today and they still had 4 copies, and this came out last week.sanman wrote:I just called my LCS—they have one copy left and its mine.ian_house wrote:The only worthwhile read too.StarBrand wrote:Booster Gold #44 is a Flashpoint tie-in, and might be a bit overlooked.

I thought about that too—partly why I left the one copy on the shelf last night when I was at the shop—but I sense recent internet reports about the Flashpoint event and the reboot “controversy” may greatly increase reader interest.ian_house wrote:I'm unsure about this, went past Forbidden Planet again today and they still had 4 copies, and this came out last week.sanman wrote:I just called my LCS—they have one copy left and its mine.ian_house wrote:The only worthwhile read too.StarBrand wrote:Booster Gold #44 is a Flashpoint tie-in, and might be a bit overlooked.

Right now I’m keeping my ear to the ground trying to listen for interest and/or movement on the tie-in titles. I have a really good relationship with my LCS, and with a quick call or text I can have an available issue pulled (smart phones are freakin awesome).

No copies of Booster Gold 44 on eBay from U.S. sellers at the moment. Mile High Comics and mycomicshop are both sold out of it. Warren at thecargohold just sold through 20 copies, all at 4.99 on the Bay. If I had a copy, I'd try it at more than 4.99.
This reminds me of the way early Civil War crossovers moved up, and Omac Project 1 was overlooked and moved up in value as well.

Horizon sold out at 4.99 also.

This seller has sold 6 at 7.99 GBP ea so far, which is over 13.00 U.S.
