Where do you keep your VVSS sleeves?
Since my new VVSS comics are starting to arrive I've noticed this annoying thing about them. Their cases are less then ideal for storing comics and a few of them already show signs of splits and what not. Plus, they don't fit into the comic box at all. Those who collect VVSS, do you take the comics out of the sleeves and store them with bags and boards (placing the sleeves in a safe place) or do you just leave them in the sleeves?

Good question, in my case, it all depends. First of all, if the Valiant mylar is still in good shape, I generally will leave the book in there. I may have wider long boxes than you, but I haven't had problems fitting them into my boxes. If they aren't in such good shape but not totally shot, I will take the book out but save the mylar. The ones that are totally falling apart, I deposit in the waste basket.

cool!! i love those little things. your all right though they offer very little protection.I think most of you will agree these mylars sucked real bad.
Everyone I have ever gotten have been crap quality and they just deserve the trash.

I have a suggestion on how to use and keep the Valiant Mylar sleeves. Use an acid free "Regular" backing board. They fit in the Mylar perfectly. Than use a "Golden Age" bag over the Mylar. It will keep the Mylar from getting further damaged and also fits perfectly over the Mylar with a nice tight seal.
What would I do with a Million $, besides 2 chicks at the same time? Nothing. Absolutely nothing!

Did it have the embossed stamp? Most people do not consider the mylar part of the package and some (as people have mentioned above) just chuck them away. The certificate however is pretty important and I think a vvss without one would be worth substantially less, depending on the book. Then again I think bloodshot 6 didnt have a certificate.my first VVSS(and only so far) didnt come with a sleeve or the little certificate. that bad?

I know where there's a badly faded copy of Rai 9 VVSS for $7...dino wrote:Rai 9 VVSS is a good one to have without the certificate (if you had to buy one without it). Its one of the cheaper ones (higher print run) and you could easily find someone with a copy thats banged up but has the coa and buy that one for cheap.
but the certificate is nice (since it's on the back side facing the shelf).
(The local comic shop has a copy that's been on the shelf in the sun since 1994.)
