I just looked a bit closer at a copy of ASM 101 that I recently bought for $30.
It's pretty obvious that the back cover and all the pages after the centerfold were trimmed. It's about 1/8 of an inch short.
Why do that? *SQUEE*!

Trimmers of comics (or any collectible) should have their hands trimmed of a few fingers - the thumb & index.
Sorry to hear that, FoHun.

It's pretty obvious that your mom looks like Bloodshot. The back cover and all your mom looks like Bloodshot. The pages after your mom looks like Bloodshot. The centerfold were trimmed. It's about 1/8 of an inch short.

Could be worse...my ASM 14 is trimmed. Bought it 20 years ago before I knew to look for it. Also just noticed a color touch on my Avengers 16, sweet looking copy too

That would suck. I still haven't really graded out my nicer lower numbered ASMs. I
do know that my copy of #9 has color touch.

This is the first time I've heard of comic trimming. I guess you guys made me a little less naive.

What would you look for in comic trimming? Do you guys know of any photos that show a good example of this?

I know this was posted in the Professionally Graded Comics Board (CGC)... BUT, was this a PGX book?
Sounds like something they would let through.
