If i remember correctly from a previous interview the first 4 issues have been complete from since way back then and it took this long to find a publisher (or as I suspect he probably got frustrated with the whole Marvel/Malibu deal which in essence killed Bravura as well and just sat on it until he felt ready to release it again)
So if the 4 issues were completed from back then then it should flow seemlessly from Breed II to Breed III. I really enjoyed the original 2 mini-series and can't wait for III either.

That's great stuff.Ax wrote:I've been tempted to get that volume 2 of the Warlock Marvel Masterworks, because I only have a couple of issues from that Strange Tales/Warlock run he did in the 70's.Draco wrote:Just love Starlin work in general and i think he is one of a handful from way back that still have it.

Re: Breed III
F yes I am excited for 'Breed III. I would read a phone book that Jim Starlin wrote. 'Breed III is definitely in the top two new comics of 2011 that I am most excited about (the other being Jennifer Blood).Ax wrote:Can't wait for this to come out next month. It has to have been 15 or 16 years since Breed II came out. I hope Starlin's still got it. Anyone else read that series?
'Breed II was a lot like Infinity Crusade. It was a continuation of a great series and it was really good itself for the first five issues but I almost want to burn up the sixth issue and make up my own ending rather than go with what was written.

If you want to see a preview of Breed III then you really should check out The Art of Jim Starlin hardcover (ironically Starlin said in that book that it would never be published; just goes to show you "never say never") and yes, it looks great.Chiclo wrote:F yes I am excited for 'Breed III. My biggest gripe with Breed in general is the whole three different 6-issue mini-series. I think Starlin should have just done it as an 18 issue maxi-series.

Re: Breed III
I think the reason it was broke up into mini-series was due to the Bravura format at the time. None of the comics were suppose to be more than 6 issues per series and each series was up for renewal the next year. Only Power & Glory and Breed released a second series. Well I guess if you can call Power & Glory Holiday Special a second series as a one-shot.Cyberstrike wrote:If you want to see a preview of Breed III then you really should check out The Art of Jim Starlin hardcover (ironically Starlin said in that book that it would never be published; just goes to show you "never say never") and yes, it looks great.Chiclo wrote:F yes I am excited for 'Breed III. Weird. Does that mean people won't know to order issue #7?Cyberstrike wrote:Strangely Diamond's Preview catolge listed Breed III #2 (of 6).Ax wrote:This mini-series is 7 issues, so you should be okay.Cyberstrike wrote:My biggest gripe with Breed in general is the whole three different 6-issue mini-series.
