I'm done with the Dark Key titles.

The "Gold Key Three" from publications outside of the Valiant universe.

Are anchovies still an option on pizzas?

If so, why?

Right, because there are like 40 of us and Dark Horse just couldn't pass up THAT opportunity.

Seriously, everyone is entitled to their opinion. If that means creating a blog and/or website expressing one's enjoyment of a book or characters, go for it! If it means someone doesn't like the same book or characters, that's fine too.

I think it's wrong to "wish" that a title is cancelled just because you don't like the book?

Personally, I have decided to only get the Solar and Magnus books from here on out for two reasons:

- I enjoyed pre-Valiant and Valiant Magnus and Solar the most out of the other related characters, and I am interested to see where Shooter take them this time around.
- I have since gotten really into Green Lantern's world, and with my limited monthly comic budget, i'd rather buy Brightest Day and the standard GL book in place of Turok and Mighty Samson.

In conclusion, everyone is entitled to their opinion. But that doesn't mean people have to be nasty about it!

I'm with orbitalshift...I'm going to keep buying them for now, hoping they will get better. Maybe they will, maybe they won't. Right now, the only book I'm excited about is Magnus, though maybe Solar will pick up with the origin story, and the other books may get better (since they've each had only one issue).

But when I picked up that first Valiant Magnus number one, I was hooked immediately. I have not been "hooked" by these books. But, out of fond remembrance for Valiant, I will keep buying them for now.

If what the other poster said is right, and they don't last more than fifteen issues, I won't be surprised. Especially with the low sales figures. If so, then I'll have yet another small Jim Shooter collection, to go with my Valiant, Defiant, and Broadway collections, which I do enjoy.

So, I'll stick it out for now. I reserve the right to change my opinion if the books don't get better. :thumb:

Stickin' with it - for now, at least

Well, I'm staying with it. (Again, sorry - late to the party) I've liked SOME of the books, and some not. Loved Turok, like most. I'm really enjoying Solar, strangely enough. Valiant Solar was not one of my faves. Even stranger, I HATED the Valiant Magnus when it came out. I only bought the Unity Magnus when they were released, and filling back in was a pain in the neck, so I just skipped it. In retrospect, I look back and really enjoy many of those issues now. Frankly, I don't want to miss much of this stuff - or miss out on it - when - or if (yes I'm saying it) - gets bigger. If this 'takes off' to 15,000 copies, back issues will be difficult to come by. Frankly, it's not that great of an investment, anyway. To follow Turok for the last six months was free anyway :insane: Okay, back-handed compliment. Anyhoo - I like the concept, and have enjoyed breathing life back into these characters - alternative universe, crummy art, delayed schedule, multiple copies, limited versions, signed copies, and all. Thanks again. I didn't feel like re-hashing Birthquake again. It gives us all something to talk about.

HA, I didn't make it to Birthquake the first time around... things got me at Chaos Effect.

I admit that the delays are frustrating me but you are right, to a point in that at least it is not costing me a lot of money with the delays... hahah

You should try to get through some of those dog issues. Birthquake was dullsville, but some gems are in there. Turok gets better - and Bloodshot ends fairly well.

Ah, I am now at 100% on my Valiant collection leaving very few books left to read. I suffered through many a bad book towards the end of the Valiant runs.

That describes a few later issues very well.
