My brother here, Bruddah comicsyte95 sent me the list of ashcans in this auction and there are a few that I have never seen. And here I was a bit proud of my own ashcan collection. Those Q-Unit ashcans and Silverline ashcan are snazzy.
This is a great pick up, brah.

Coincidentally, I had to kill a little time in Amarillo today and dropped by Hastings. They had stacks of these IDW First reprint trades for $5 a piece. I didn't pick any up yet, though.Knightt wrote:Any idea how many total Badger trades there are ?Chiclo wrote:I have and have read those Badger trades.
What really surprised me is how much the wife enjoyed them.
No, I have never seen an episode of that show... ever. Does not look like one I would want to watch either.Chiclo wrote:Knightt wrote:LOL... you rock dude.
Mahalo !!!I can tell you want somebody to notice that you are watching Dog the Bounty Hunter.Knightt wrote:...brah.
I recently took a class with a bit of Hawaiian history, music and language, it made bit of an impression.

That would be great, but rather it went to a solid preacher fan, as i would in turn pass in onto someone who would really cherish for its link to preacher and not as much its scarcity.comicsyte95 wrote:If Brother J doesnt object ill be happy to send it to you free when i send Knightt a package soon.Draco wrote:The preacher would be classed as a promo sheet im thinking, not an ashcan, though i havent seen it before so good catch sir.

Not my call, bro. It's yours to do as you will with it. I'm probably not the hugest Preacher fan, either. I did like it enough that I have a complete run with all the specials, but I can't say I've ever gone back and re-read it. I was curious if this was something similar to the Preacher Preview book, which goes for good money. Thanks for posting the picture.comicsyte95 wrote:If Brother J doesnt object ill be happy to send it to you free when i send Knightt a package soon.Draco wrote:The preacher would be classed as a promo sheet im thinking, not an ashcan, though i havent seen it before so good catch sir.

thought I got lucky with this one, picked out what I thought was this book out of a 25 cent bin at a local comic store. Turned out I picked up issue #2, instead of #1. The similar cover threw me.Brother J wrote:mid-grade, but much cheaper than the other copies on eBay are listed for.Chiclo wrote:Picked up another one.

Continum Comics 1, first appearance of Dawn and very, very early Linsner work. I paid $11 shipped and this is normally a $40+ book.
I guess now I can start going after the rest of Continum now that I got the big dog out of the way.

had a real comic buying fest yesterday. Went to a comic show in Allentown, ran into Doorman, who seems to always hit this show and buy a large volume of stuff. He passed on a couple of items to me while we were looking through the same boxes, including some Afrocentric comics and a ratty copy of Iron Fist #15 for 50 cents. Beat but complete. Thanks, man!
Later in the day, I went to a local shop that had a bunch of 25 cent comics in bins on the floor. Many were not bagged, and instead of being in comic boxes, they were in something that looked like a wooden horse trough. Needless to say, most of the books were not in great shape, but I did find some goodies. I'll list some of the stuff I picked up in a later post. Gotta run out and buy some more bags and boards.

Not forgetting Topps Jurassic Park # 1 Amber Crome edition.
I never knew books like this existed, as the stores over here probably didnt order in the quantities required to get the incentives, but the ones that did probably had crazy fool customers willing to pay the $50 pricetag the day they arrived.
My copy cost £1.00 and i just re read it and loved it.

Near Mint Press is still an active publisher, or at least it has been in the last 6 months. They solicited a TPB for the Experts that I had pre-ordered through DCBS that was subsequently cancelled through Diamond. It is still available through their website and is on my list of stuff to pick up eventually.Draco wrote:There were many other indy books too, but some i have never heard of like: Near mint press's the Experts and Adhouse books, Superior Showcase

I have about three boxes of indy books that are seperate from the rest of the DU lots, as there are only one of each publisher or no higher than four

Just scored the coolest lot of old school indy books from the 90's.
All small box each of early wildstorm, Ultraforce, Tekno comics.
Just Going through them, awesome find on the Tekno, as we do not come across these over here in high grade, mostly in well rifled cheap bins :/
I havent had a set of any indy books outiside the larger publishers from that era in ages. larger lots with mass publishers sure, but this made of win and im just taking them straight out and replacing my copies. Awesome !!!
lists n pics t follow.
