I see Mirage are about to officially become a DU as a publisher even if TMNT are off to IDW.
Anyone had a real buzz about any old DU books they may have come across in their own collections, reading piles etc recently?
I just upgraded a stack of Jon Sable Freelance and filtered some DU's into my boxes and found a small pile of obscure Blackout books that i had not added to the checklist, probably from shame
After recently having a major sort im about to move all my stuff from my office ( tiny tiny room) to the back of our downstairs dining area, making way for my eldest to have his own room for when baby comes.
This way i can make some mad shelf units for all my draw boxes or stack system so they are safer and then enjoy the pleasures of being looked through after all my hard work these past three years.
I need to get all my boxes shipped from over the pond and then i can do one last sort and then prioritise my DU's accordingly.
I decided some time ago the two i most desperatley want to complete are First and Comico and i must be quite far into both at this point.
ok your turn?

a main focus for me is finding books with Dave Stevens covers in cheap bins, many which are from dead publishers. I'm sure my major focus with these are the ones featuring the...female form.
Going to a local show today, hoping to find some good bargain bins. Did ok last time, but nothing spectacular. The So Much Fun variant I picked up there for $1 or less (don't remember exactly), I sold on eBay for $20.50, so not a bad little flip.

I had to stop myself bidding on that expecting it to hit $30+, but still a nice flip as you say.Brother J wrote:a main focus for me is finding books with Dave Stevens covers in cheap bins, many which are from dead publishers. I have had more progress on making new checklists than crossing comics off of existing ones. I am going to a con next weekend in Lubbock and I have always crossed a few off the list when I have gone to this con in the past.
I did make a Studio G checklist and promptly lost it.
It will turn up again someday.

I have multiple copies of this book, including one I just picked up this past weekend at a local show. There is also a poster of this image, I used to have it stapled (

The malibu necromancer ? stuff has got me interested again.
As in got me interested in collecting DU as I faded for about 2 years.
I have been re reading alot of my old stuff
So now its time for new DU.
Knights of Broadway ~ the main story was great ~ the cyber suit fighting of the future ~ well honestly I just flicked through thouse pages.
Now really keen to pick up
the Missing issues of Defiant Dark Dominion exspecially.
Nightman
Sludge
Mega keen on RUNE! ( i will get extras for Drift)
and TEKNO.
But scared, seriosly scared of doubles even at £0.25p. I always forget my list when I go to the comic mart.
NExt time ~ I am bringing back long boxes!
So thats whats been happing to me! THe Birmingham UK met up, and another visit to Draco has rekindled the love of comics Lonely Planet had slowely killed over the years living in cambridge
