Hey, my plan actually worked. Although she's not coming with me to San Diego ... her sisters are going to be visiting her while I'm gone. Potential trouble there: 4 on a scale of 1-10.depluto wrote:I will be there ... taking my wife wherever she wants this summer to get some marriage credits to go there next year.

Holy crap!
The incredibly sought after, canceled wave of Raiders of the Lost Ark toys is being manufactured by Hasbro and released as an SDCC exclusive this year! That's fantastic news! I'll probably be stuck buying online, so hopefully these will be available at the normal vendors.
Toy Fair Report
This is truly exciting because this wave goes a long way towards making closure for the line by filling in a lot of obvious gaps!

Cool Toy Review points out that the standard Indy that will be packaged with the set is a kit-bashed "ultimate" figures with a lot of extra accessories.

ComicCon Hotel Reservations open Wed 3/9 at 9am Pacific. I recommend you go to this page so you're ready if you want a room:
http://www.comic-con.org/cci/cci_hotel.php
Past experience says these rooms will sell out in less than 5 minutes!

I already got a decent room about a mile from the convention center ... that should be OK, right? I also have a friend who is letting me stay with them in the days leading up.wrunow wrote:ComicCon Hotel Reservations open Wed 3/9 at 9am Pacific. CANCEL that last post... WILL be going after. My family and I are going to San Diego the same week of the Con.Knightt wrote:No SDCC pass = no hotel room = me not going again this year.
I will need to find a pass or two but I am half the way to the Con. If anything, I can meet up with some folks in the evening.

REALLY looking forward to this.

Hopefully they will release some passes as we get closer to the show so we both can get what we need.
Very stoked about you coming down.
Hey bro, can you call me or something to let me know if you find anything out in that regard ?Elveen wrote:Knightt wrote:CANCEL that last post... WILL be going after. I will let you know what I found out. Last year someone from the boards told "us" when the tix were going to go on sale. I remember it being a few weeks before the show.
I would not recommend going that route.depluto wrote:Is it possible to buy tickets second-hand, or is that a no-no since they are linked to the purchaser's name? I think you have to show an ID at the gate, right?
Tickets will be released a few weeks before the show. They usually made the announcements on Twitter and facebook. I would join the Comic-con pages of both those and just keep an eye open. I was able to get Saturday last year, no problem.

That's what I did also. In fact, I think you posted when tickets were going to be released and that is when I got them. Hoping for the same this year.Crow331 wrote:I would not recommend going that route.depluto wrote:Is it possible to buy tickets second-hand, or is that a no-no since they are linked to the purchaser's name? You have to show ID to pick up the passes. But coming in and out, you just walk through...... although I do think the first year I was stopped and they asked for my ID.
