What a terrible idea. Ninjak is the only title that I've yet to find anything redeeming in. Utter garbage.Chiclo wrote:I have heard that at different time, the character around which they were building the relaunch has changed. At first, Shooter wanted to launch with Gilad. His next plan was to relaunch with Ninjak.

If I was to plot a VEI relaunch I would begin it with the story of a child and a monk. First few pages going through the child's life and at certain points the child sees thing.
As a baby he plays with imaginary dinosaurs that only he sees as real.
As this is going on a monk is seen leaving a Tibetan temple.
As a toddler he picks up a rock and sees an image of the Harbinger Wars and cries.
The Monk is hiding from view and sees the event happen with the toddler.
As a 12 year old kid he approaches a house with friends and he is curiously dressed as a well known shadow character. He goes to knock on the door and a darque symbol appears and he runs away scared.
The monk looks out from an upstairs window down at the fleeing child.
When he is a teenager he sees a vision of the symbol of the atom (not like Solar's, but similar) shatter and the entire world is razed by atomic fire.
From the haze of a desolate landscape the monk approaches the teenager and tells him it is time for you to know the truth and to set things right.
The monk is Archer and the teenager is Geoff McHenry - the Geomancer.
Then from there let the adventure begin.
Yes I know Turok & Solar would not have nothing to do with VEI, but the dinosaurs & the symbol of the atom play into the original VEI story. Call it an homage as they would be written out of existence without actually mentioning them. Then again isn't Joshua Fireseed (and related characters) an Acclaim character or did they lose the rights to him as well?

Remember when a pre-emptive strike on a brutal dictator, who the whole world's intelligence agencies said they possessed WMDs, and who was believed to have financed al-Qaida, and was seen as a threat to the United States, our allies, and the middle east was "immoral?"
Remember when invading Iraq, after having obtained authority by Congress and a UN Resolution that authorized force in response to sixteen previous UN Resolutions being defied was "illegal?"
And remember when it was all about OIL when gas had jumped to ~$1.65 per gallon?
Remember when people were saying things like:
http://www.boston.com/news/politics/200 ... A/ObamaQA/Senator Barack Obama wrote:The President does not have the power under the Constitution to unilaterally authorize a military attack in a situation that does not involve stopping an actual or imminent threat to the nation.
If ANY of our 3 current wars could be called an "illegal and immoral war for oil," it is our newest one in Libya.

He is not off topic with his references:
The First War was Unity. (9/11 we stand proud)
The Second was Deathmate. (Iraq - all *SQUEE* up and still no one can explain why we did it.)
The Third is Chaos Effect. (Apparently everyone is involved just some don't know it.)
So his analysis is spot on. I just hope like hell we can avoid Operation Birthquake!
